This lad is really disappointing me, has all the skill in the world but fails to provide any end product. What does everyone else think?

That's why he is here learning his trade. He has the skill and ability and as of yet not a footballing brain

Blows hot and cold like youngsters do. I prefer a player who will continue to try and beat his man than one that will just turn and play a sideways pass after failing once.

That for me is why Maddison will go far, he is a very clever young lad.

Frustrates the life out of me. Thought he was as bad as Fortune today.

Me too. Maddison is way ahead of his time. If he continues improving he'll be capped for England by the time he's 21.

Kent: 1 goal, 1 assist in 14 games.
Murphy: 6 goals, 5 assists in 20 games.
Lamerias: 1 goal, 2 assists in 17 games.
Maddison 2 goals, 3 assists in 6 games.

According to transfermarkt. Maddison is showing them up...

Would rather Lamerias over Kent.

Yep already said it but send him back - think his loan expires soon anyhow doesn't it? If this is the case go to end of loan but do not renew it.....we have cover in this area without that is our own and on a par if not better and we need defenders more!!

Klopp isn't a big fan of the loan system, so suspect he'll want him to go back anyway. Will be a loss as despite the lack of end product, he does carry the ball well.

Has no football brain. He is programmed to run for goal and beat players until he either falls over or loses possession. You could clearly see that in his publicity video before he even kicked a ball for us. I expected he would earn us a few free kicks and penalties but the refs have seen through that.

I would free up the loan spot taken by Kent and get another forward in who can score goals. We seem to have an issue up front when Arma isn't scoring. Samuels would be fab if we can do anything.

Also time to address the back and possibly in goal. We have a chance for promotion and we need make all resources available. Get experience in.

Thought he would be improving his final product with experience and match time but he doesn't really seem to be learning.

To be honest Ritchie Partridge had a bigger impact here from Liverpool than Kent.

Look how his career turned out...

It's not likely at this point, I agree. However it's not like we are miles away from Gills and hence I don't think league position would be a deal-breaker.

i hope we keep him, he reminds me of jesus navas, messes alot of crosses up, dont score much but posseses electrifying pace that gets him in the team alot of weeks, there is a reason for that

Central defenders are the priority. Need to use the loan spot for at least one and probably two.

Skilful player but never actually does anything. Can't even draw a foul like Madders. Send him back.

I like Kent despite all the frustrations. His skill is sublime and as he develops his decision making will too. Personally I prefer him on the right wing

Yes he's very frustrating but his dribbling ability is unreal, I've never seen anyone, particularly at this level, skip past people as if they're not there with such ease.

His pace does cause problems and defenders are scared of him.

I don't know why. You just know that it'll be a throw in or similar within 5 seconds of him getting the ball. I think he's presently a really poor player - it doesn't matter how you concede possession, whether it's passing to them or dribbling for 5 seconds beforehand.

Because we are Coventry, who play at the Ricoh with crowds twice the size...

You would think in training they would hammer him with crossing. If he could just put the ball on the 6 yard line with pace every time the strikers could fill the box and it would at least create changes.

Exactly this; it's hard to be patient with the lad, but I'm sure one day he'll be a 'Diet Cristiano Ronaldo' - he has bags of talent and potential, however we probably won't see the best of him.

We've seen microcosms of what he can do, but overall, he's not what we need. I'm sure many teams will now allow him to run at them all day long, knowing there's no end product.

He is one of them who will end up going on to being a brilliant Premier League player.

Didn't we miss out on Kevin Keegan because we thought he wasn't good enough?

Too short wasn't it. Did that actually happen or is it an urban myth?
