The other loan that's due to happen on Monday is for a month only so that we can have a look at him.

'Mowbray has revealed that the player coming in on Monday is coming in on a month's loan but not going to play. It's just a way of City getting a look at him.'

brilliant signing again, shows how prudent and proactive TM is as the end of his loan should coincide with the return of Madders.

struggling to cope with all this positivity......

As usual with our most of our signings these days I'd never heard of him before the rumours started a couple of days ago. Everything I've seen is positive so it looks like a great signing from TM and hopefully means Maddison being out for a few months won't be a problem.

Of course there is. Why would three parties commit themselves to the end of the season? If all is going well I am sure all three parties will be happy to continue.

And all those people who were bumping gums about missing out on Clarke and Pope.

I know who I would rather watch even if it is short term.

Sorry mate but you are an arse . We are second in the division, playing good, in fact very good football, we have hope after years of shite to be honest, we are doing better than many thought, including you, We won a tough away match at the weekend away against a very good Burton team who will give many a decent game and for a week you and others have moaned about our goalie and yes he flapped at a few crosses and yes the jury is out on him being good enough or not, but if you really think he is a liability who should be jettisoned out the team blame one man, the only man responsible for what looks like your evential wishful Burge balls up that costs us points and thats the manager Tony Mowbray, it is he who writes his name on the team sheet no-one else.

Sorry, but didn't read past 'you're an arse.'

You just know as soon as someone starts insulting you it's because they are losing the argument.

Don't believe I have said anything that warrants any abuse and I have only been honest and constructive with my criticisms.

TM experience is really showing here, he is bringing young, hungry, gifted individuals that seem to have the ability to handle and travel with the ball at speed.. He blends them with the senior players and so far all is working out,, i would like to see a few more to keep creating the competition for places..

Would also like to see Haynes, Maddison, Stevenson, Harries and even C Thomas being pushed to see how good they are in a winning side.. Because loans like Armstrong, Morris, Kent are fine and add to the squad, but we as a club need to still create our own players already on books to make our club successful....

Coventry City’s newest signing Ryan Kent admitted that he turned down a handful of clubs, including some in the Championship, to join the Sky Blues on loan.

Kent signed a three-month youth loan deal with City today from Premier League giants Liverpool.

The 18-year old, who can play all across the front behind the striker, is excited by the new challenge in League One and revealed that lots of people pointed him in the club’s direction for his first loan move away from the Reds.

"I’ve been looking at going out on loan and taking that next step throughout the summer," Kent said.

"There was interest from a number clubs, some in the Championship, but Coventry stood out for me, they have real pedigree and a lot of good players.

"I’ve seen the young players here are doing really well and it’s an exciting team to be a part of.

"It was a mutual decision with myself and Liverpool to go out on loan, it’s the next step to play in senior football. I had a chat with Tony Mowbray, he made me feel very welcome and talked to me about the system.

"There's a few people in the staff at Liverpool which have told me good things too, and I spoke to Bryn while on international duty about it.

"A lot of people edged me towards this club, they know the manager plays a great style of football. I've kept note on the young players here, Jacob Murphy, Bryn Morris, Ruben and Adam is on fire. It's a good thing."

Kent was on tour with Liverpool during their pre-season tour and he is a regular of the Under-21s side at Anfield.

He also has plenty of international experience too, representing England at youth levels with his latest appearance coming on Monday for the Under-20s.

The midfielder is confident he can adapt to life in League One and believes he can bring the experience he’s taken so far into his time with the Sky Blues.

He added: "I'm a dynamic player, can play anywhere along the front three and hope to bring flair, goals and assists.

"It’s been the biggest honour of my career to play for England, there aren’t many higher achievements. It’s a great experience to play against different nations with different styles of play, it’s
interesting to keep learning.

"I went away with Liverpool in pre-season and that was a great experience, it was great to see what life as a first-team player is like, the commitment on and off the pitch and I’m hoping I can bring that experience to help me in the long run here.

"It will maybe a bit more physical than I am used to but that's what I need for my game to improve, I’m relishing it."

People are crediting the Tony Mowbray with the good job he is doing drawing these talented young players to the club; they are not wrong.

But I also think Jamie Clapham has played a role in these acquisitions and deserves a mention

i would also like to see Stevenson and Harries feature. Great playmaker and a good defender. We need to give them exposure and air time beyond the 21s . Get them used to the bigger stage, before other clubs come in for them. They are both playing well for the 21s and currently 2nd in the division.

When's the last time anyone said that? When's the last time someone chose us above a Championship team?

I am now really feeling the promotion push vibe!

Or Jordan Henderson ...

... or it may just have been something Craig Bellamy carved on the back of a locker door that Ryan totally misunderstood?

Didnt Gary Mac train with us when his wife fell very ill, and on top of his previous playing experience with us, I feel he has a lot of feeling for our club and I would bet he played a big part in this happening.
obviously the credit goes to TM and Clapham but Gary Mac played his part encouraging Kent coming to us.

just my opinion obviously.

im loving being a skyblue, after nearly fifty years of mostly struggling, I can s ee my club going only upwards on onwards now.

the crowd for Chesterfield should be up a couple of thousand now with that team on the pitch

You sure you didn't hear it? :thinking about:

Okay, well in that case, we just signed Lionel Messi on a 6 month loan.

Of course, with the team we have now he'll have to be content with a place on the bench, says Mowbray.
