HE should be according to Football League World:

Coventry City should turn to soon out of contract Plymouth Argyle striker as possible Viktor Gyokeres replacement: Opinion

Coventry City are expecting strong interest in Viktor Gyokeres this summer, so the club should look to Plymouth's Ryan Hardie as possible replacement.

Need to know what level we are playing at first but not a bad shout.

One I would look at if we are in the Champ next year is Wigans Will Keane, scored 12 for a poor team

Well, whether FLW are reliable or not we need to start thinking of a replacement. It's not something to rush into.

I feel for any striker we bring in to replace Vik. He's pretty unique and the best we have seen in this team or league for some while and I hope fans will give who ever comes in a chance. A straight replacement will be nigh on impossible unless our recruitment team have someone on the radar possibly in europe if we can bag £20mil in the sale.
All this may be hypothetical of course if we get promoted

If we got to the Prem I think Vik stays and we would still need a class striker to play alongside him. So we should be looking at what is available and who would fit into our system and mindset.

If we get to the Prem we need 15-20 players, it would be interesting to see what system we go for given that freedom.

I’d just keep Allen

On recent performances Vik might be going nowhere.

Would certainly shake the midfield up.

I think Vik still goes. We won’t be paying him mega money even if we go up and he will get it by going elsewhere. So he won’t sign a new contract with us and therefore we have to cash in this summer.

There’s a chance that all the Prem teams that have been linked with Gyokeres could go down anyways. Unless someone that goes up wants him like Burnley or potentially Boro there’s every chance he might not get the Prem move he wants if they all go down

Don’t see Plymouth selling him to another Championship club

Went on to League One Top scorers to see if there was any bargains to be had...

Top 3 have all played for us, 4th is that lad we were constantly linked to when he was at Leamington and 5th May has apparently already agreed to join the Disney gravy train (Wrexham)

I think we'd keep him if we manage to go up but any new contract will have release clauses around relegation. Fingers crossed we get to find out!

JCH-Chaplin for an impressive big-man little-man combo maybe? I'm not sure we'd be looking at any of these L1 players to replace Vik in all honesty but finding someone similar will be a hell of a task.

They're run on a fairly limited budget i think so the issue could be forced of the player has ambitions towards the top of the table. Given how good they've been though it will be inyeresting to see how Plymouth get on next season.

People don't buy performances, they buy the speed, power, agility, skill etc and that hasn't gone.

Across the park yes. But splurging on a multi million pound striker they expect a bit more of a ruthless streak. He has coughed up a lot of chances all season. I still think he needs another season in the Championship.
