Coventry City goalkeeper Carl Rushworth is on England’s radar after his record-breaking start to the season.
Rushworth recently clocked 613 minutes without conceding, the longest such run in the history of the Sky Blues.
talkSPORT understands England scouts are paying close attention to the Brighton loanee’s form.
Rushworth almost joined Rangers in the summer but Brighton blocked the deal with sources close to the player suggesting that was down to owner Tony Bloom’s interest in Hearts
The only reason Brighton didn’t sell him for £5.5 million is because they knew that after one good season in the championship, he would be worth at least double.
We’ve rinsed them once and they’re not letting it happen again.
Lampard was never going to Rangers, that ship had long since sailed.
We’ve seen with Gerrard, Rodgers and Ange that you can dominate the Scottish league, win titles but as soon as you come to the Prem, 1 bad job and your reputation plummets.
If Lampard wins the league with us (or just promotion), he gets more credit in the bank. We could get relegated next season and still be a hero (like McKenna) to have another go at the Prem. If he kept us up, he’d have a genuine interest at a top half Prem team.
