England consider Championship star for call-up
Coventry City goalkeeper Carl Rushworth is on England’s radar after his record-breaking start to the season.
Rushworth recently clocked 613 minutes without conceding, the longest such run in the history of the Sky Blues.
talkSPORT understands England scouts are paying close attention to the Brighton loanee’s form.
Rushworth almost joined Rangers in the summer but Brighton blocked the deal with sources close to the player suggesting that was down to owner Tony Bloom’s interest in Hearts
With the Gers struggling and Coventry flying high at the top of the Championship and making history under Frank Lampard, that turn of events has worked in his favour.

Lampard was never going to Rangers, that ship had long since sailed.It is from Talksport so pinch of salt needed but loan players getting positive rumours like this is a double edged sword.

Maybe. But he has played two games since September 1st and is unlikely to play many more unless Donnarumma gets injured. If I were Tuchel I’d be using this as an opportunity to take a look at Rushworth - a player who is actually getting game time and not just sitting on his arse fulfilling the Scott Carson role at Man City.Aren’t they likely to go back to Trafford?
