Bit odd to talk about the run-in in mid-January, but I think there's reasons to be optimistic looking at the fixtures list. Yes, Norwich and West Brom (although we beat them not long ago) coming up, but we go into February having narrowly lost away at top of the table, players returning from injury, hopefully a few more through the door, and a fixture list through to April which isn't particularly intimidating. With a couple of good signings, and a little luck, must be an opportunity here.

No reason why not if we can get a couple more in. Injuries are the unknown.

This season's table is tight and I can see it being that way a while.

It could well happen as quality is shit this year in the league Fulham would be 15 pionts ahead of this stage last season .

I'll be there for a couple of the last three games. Not sure which yet. Hopefully there will be something to play for

I looked at that run in a bit back and if you had to hand pick one it wouldn’t be far off this run in.
We know there are no easy games in this division but winning a decent portion of these games isn’t impossible.

They weren’t last year.

Burnley actually 2 points ahead of Fulham’s total.

One game at a time for me. These people that try and predict how we will do over the next 5 games are always wildly inaccurate.

A run of straight defeats, relegation & an angry mob setting fire to the stadium is the only sure thing I can foresee.

Statistically we do have one of the easier run ins (if you can call 20 games a run in!)

Our remaining opponents have a points per game of 1.31. Only Hull (1.28) and Reading (1.3) have easier runs.

Sheffield Utd (1.52) have the hardest.

The above PPG figures take into account a teams home/away performance.

But yeah doesn't mean too much with 20 matches still to play.

last time we lost 1-0 to Burnley we won 7 of next 9 and only lost 1 - same again would do very nicely!

At a crossroad right now. I don’t think we will nosedive unless Vik is sold, or we continue to incur horrendous injuries, but for us to kick on we need to add bodies and a bit of quality. At full strength we are a match for anyone in this league, home or away and proved that prior to the World Cup.

Losing COH and McFadz has contributed massively to our downturn in fortunes and if the former isn’t replaced I think we will hover around mid table. Will be good to revisit this thread come 1st Feb when we see what we’ve got to go with for the remainder of the season.
