For the Bristol Rovers, Sunderland, Portsmouth's of this world - having a larger away potential at St Andrews makes obvious financial sense for CCFC. What will be a problem is both sets of fans heading back to the same station to get home. Can't imagine the old bill will be happy with that. Thinking about it, that could be an issue at a number of grounds, as fans from both teams are likely to be travelling in numbers by rail.

Guess Manchester police are used to it whenever Man Utd play a London team...

The extra revenue of a bumper away following would be nice at St Andrews but how often has a club brought in excess of 2700 say to the Ricoh this season. Four or five clubs say have toppled that number, a few around that figure and then others a lot less.

To use sixfields as a example you could allocate the south stand which usually houses away fans with around 800 and you could also allocate the unfinished looking east stand with has a capacity of around 1900 to a combined figure of 2700. This still offers a home allocation of around 5000 in the main stand and north stand behind the goal still which let’s face it is likely enough on feelings spoken on here alone to create a better match day experience for all concerned.

Yes the ability to house a bumper away crown enhances our match day income but once the stewarding and policing fees are applied to meet demands of a big crowd how much better financially would ccfc be for it?
