Fisher rattled by all of this. I say bring on the swirling rumour mill if he finds it 'unhelpful'.

Anyone but these utter, utter shysters SISU ; Like other posters have commented, how could there be anyone worse??!

now i wonder if the offer isnt credible or sisu are just being cunts over every little thing?

i will get pelters from this but my gut feeling if i could control all fans would be to not buy a ST yet, see if we can make them sweat and accept a deal perhaps. seems there are people out there who want us.

of course i could be wrong and the bid just isnt good enough

I actually agree with you there.

If there was concrete proof a decent bid was made and rejected, that would be the perfect time to boycott and cause as much of a shit stir as possible.

Push them into accepting the next bid.

On a side note, OSB maybe one for you, ST sales before and after any prospective "takeover" date, would it be right to assume they are entitled to all ST sales made to the date of takeover? If so surely they will hold out until the start of the season when all tickets have been purchased? Would this then have an effect on any possible price?

The ST sales belong to Otium. Its going to depend on what would be sold. If it were the shares in Otium then the money goes with it (with proviso that SISU etc may claim to pay down a loan or debt eg ARVO. That is quite legitimate) However anyone worth their salt would know about the ST income and make allowance for it in any deal. As it stands in the books today the Cash received is match by a creditor for the same amount because the matches have not yet been played.

If only certain assets are sold then you wouldn't buy cash with cash as such - bit pointless but that would be reflected in the price paid in the deal

No real surprise really. If Reid is right and he seems to be the official mouth piece of TF & CCFC there are a number of implications I take from his article

- that there have been offers just not ones that meet SISU's valuation
- that any offer involving Hoffman will not be welcomed
- that dual standards on transparency apply
- that TF & SISU are feeling some pressure

I would have thought there was more for the owners to worry about than a bit of internet speculation. How long till the Academy is homeless (TF going to announce new home 3 weeks ago was he not) How long till Ricoh deal finishes? Will be very interesting to see how they convince the FA & FL there are solutions in the offing (that said the FA & FL will probably just take the clubs word for it). If no deal on Ricoh then how will they sign off the 2017 financials (or is there a small alternative planned) - at some point Wasps will feel sufficiently comfortable to conclude CCFC are not worth the bother I would think

Does Mr Reid actually talk with all the parties involved or does he only talk at some of them? He always seems to make it personal. I do find that Reid's articles are overtly critical of everyone other than TF or SISU. It seems to needle him if someone disagrees with him and he is unwilling to let go of it. Have read the David Johnson interview and do not take it as talking up administration, its more saying being ready should various scenarios happen - planning ahead. But I am sure others can look at it differently. Largely the antagonism and the constant repeating the same diatribe puts me off reading his output. Would love him to actually detail what it is other than JR2 that is currently in dispute. Because the Ricoh, Academy, BPA are not actually disputes they are finite deals that are ending or not even started, and the club & owners need to put forward/progress alternatives. That will require some transparency, funding, planning and credibility (Sound familiar?)....... not to mention some element of positive partnership & humility. Yes a few egos might need to be massaged by CCFC but this is about getting a viable future isn't it, not raking over history cloaked by a few as a "multi party dispute" and long since replaced by desperate need

Here is a thought, the journalists of this City are a fundamental part of this saga and therefore part of the solution. Doesn't bode well in my opinionc

There is no solution unless the owners are prepared to compromise, you can expect it from the other parties ( quite rightly) as much as you like but it will take all sides to compromise for ccfc to move forward.

Cant help but feel disappointed, discouraged and frustrated by it all

any how just my opinion nothing more

Can't disagree with any of this. A very sensible post. Reid in my view has lots of baggage in relation to this and it appears to me its so personal every time he writes I just can't take him seriously. Its quite cringeworthy reading his articles.

Yeah, absolutely.

As has been said above, a quid and a Marsbar and you've got next to nothing.

It would have to be fair offer, which sadly I cannot see happening. However, I will hold out hope.

The problem is that I can imagine SISU saying something like: 'We put 70 million in, that's what we want for the club. Take it or leave it.'

If the past 10 years have taught us anything, it is to be cautious about new owners.

I remember the day SISU 'saved' us. We were apparently 30 minutes from admin and we were taken over from previous regimes who had made the decision to leave HR and had racked up £60-70m debt.

Genuinely, I sank a bottle of champagne that night (think it might have been a Friday as well). I wasn't cautious about this new SISU group who took us over. Even sounded kinda cool...SISU, Finnish for something or other. Scandinavians tend to be good people....

How wrong I was. I will most definitely be cautious about new owners, but at least grateful that SISU aren't here any more.

Yes I agree. The Telegraph reporting isn't great either ; But solely from a CCFC point of view I think they are on the right side of the argument. Most fans up and down the country would hope their local press would side with the majority of fans to remove what in our case is failure after failure and a downwards spiral to Division 4. Who knows how far we will slide?

That might be their public stance but if someone waved £10m in front of their noses they'd be mad not to take it. Their investors know there is little chance of success paying them back so they'd have to take something like that.

Someone offering that for a club with no stadium and little chance of owning one in the future is another matter altogether though.

The problem is that CCFC will never own it's own Stadium no matter who the owners are.

I think the difference now is that so many that would class themselves as part of the core fanbase have been so far removed from the club and the team have slipped to the brink of the football league that it feels this is one last roll of the dice.

Back when SISU brought us there was hope, we were 1 good/lucky season from the promised land, these days there is little hope amongst what remains of the fan base, only desperation

Ok so if I offered you a £1 for your car park, and gave out your home telephone number and got people to bombard you with calls day and night, would you sell it? No you wouldn't.

I hate SISU, want them gone, but unless someone offers them what they want, then phone calls etc wont make any difference at all, and if you really think so then I am surprised your businesses have been as much of a success as you make out.

If my business was loosing millions every year and my property was worth thousands I would snatch their hands off.
The trick is to work up to an offer they will accept.
If the offer is eventually acceptable, but I was holding onto it for spite, I might not want the aggro of a load of phone calls.

Never said my business was a success, but for info, my business (childrens riding school) continues thanks to the car parking.

Pressure on the hedge fund - headed up by Joy Seppala and Dermot Coleman - has been at an all time high with more than 20,000 people signing a Telegraph petition calling on Sisu to seek new owners.

Why do the telegraph keep referring to this as some sort of triumph, they got less than half of the people that bought tickets to Wembley to sign an online petition, they would have got more if they'd just sent 20 people to Wembley with a clipboard at turnstiles!

I'm taking "not a credible offer" as movement in the right direction from "SISU have no intention to sell" let the negotiations commence, a seller will never accept the first offer and a buyer will never offer the most that they can afford/their limit.

If this is the initial offer its a shame it has been leaked to the press so early on in negotiations but I suppose it allows the fans to voice their opinion for one last time in the stadium on Saturday which can only assist the prospective buyer.

Can we assume that the unnamed investors are from either the Chinese or Australian consortium's that have been reported on this week?
