Yet before that was even suggested Mr Richardson was discussing the purchase of ACL......

I have started to take an interest in the results of Wasps in the same way as I take an interest in the results of Coventry Blaze formerly Solihull Barons,to me they are teams who represent the City of Coventry. It is also no different to players who represent the English national side instead of their country of birth, due to long distance relatives or by their residency in England.
I would also remind you that if Wasps had not purchased the Ricoh a COVENTRY CHARITY would have probably gone bankrupt due to receiving no rent.

Regards.

Loan was Tim's reason for not accepting the same deal as Wasps if offered.

Surprising really. Considering it was supposed to be such a good loan it wasn't offered on commercial terms and was therefore illegal state aid. You would think that any commercial entity would have snapped their hands of. Which of course is why the loan wasn't irrelevant, in fact it's massively relevant. SISU restructure debt, it's what they do. Well that and batter people in court, ha ha ha, yeah right. When the debt of ACL was restructured with the loan SISU lost interest in purchasing ACL and the debt and proceeded to the court to try and have that restructuring undone so they could waltz in and do what they do. Restructure the debt. It wasn't about ACL, it certainly wasn't about CCFC it was about control of the debt.

We're back to square one again IMO with SISU looking to take control of a company through it's debt. Only this time it's Wasps and ACL. This is why we'll probably move again at the end of next season. The only way I can see that not happening is if one of them (Wasps/ACL or SISU) snap.

So I sort of gave up on this thread a week or so ago when I realised it was all bullshit, so I'm now wondering how it's got to 24 pages....

Can anyone give me a brief summary of if anything has actually happened, any talk of a takeover or if it's just gone completely off topic ?

From what I have been told it was solely down to Joy to go to Northampton it was a risk she was willing to take to prove her point, problem it seriously backfired when most of the fans would not follow.
She was trying to show what a strong hand she had and then negotiate a deal for the Ricoh on her terms, the embarrassment of the experiment pissed her off so she became even more hardball.
The rest as they say is history.

Tbh if Tim was not such a knob at the forums he did, they may have got more going to Sixfields, he really pissed a lot off with his attitude and the way he spoke. He has a lot to answer for when it comes to the demise of our club.
Sooner he is gone the better, will show us that Sisu are willing to change until then we really are fucked.

That would make sense looking at TF's face when he was laughed at giving his crowd predictions at the fans forum. He clearly didn't want to say it but had no choice but to say it. Joy going out of her way to meet fans at the time too. She's never done it since and I can't recall her doing it previously. It was very much her plan looking back but hey, SISU aren't the club.

Apparently this rumour has come from the Charlton match, that Hoffman has told Sepalla he will run the football club on her behalf instead of Fisher. He awaits an answer. Came from a reasonable source but as said just a bit of a rumour, feasible but probably bollox.

Just think what could be achieved if they teamed up with Elliott and Hoffman!

No chance would they have gone bust, from my understanding the original money that the trust started with is still there and probably more.

No saying sisu were right though.

No but MK does represent Milton Keynes.
Funny how they were hated and now get bigger crowds then a Wimbledon did.
But now that is all forgotten and they are now firmly ingrained in the community timehas made them stronger, not so sure the same will happen with Wasps but who knows.

The club sold their half of the lease, not the F and B individually, I think? One thing for sure though, they didn't receive 24m for their half of the lease.

Not what I heard they were struggling.
Why are they now willing to do a deal for a training centre that is one of their main money makers?

Yes but that doesn't count.
They never learnt from the last lot who sold our share of the Ricoh.
We actually own nothing we have sold everything only last of the fans to be sold now.
That river is getting shorter.

Why did they purchase Browns in April 2014? When they took on the half share, was it not money owed to them? Would they have got that money back? Would they have not planned for being without it?

That is a question, why would they sell the CCFC academy to a London rugby team?

How would ccfc withholding rent to ACL,a private limited company, cause Higgs to go bust?No dividends or moneys were ever paid out to ACL's shareholders so they were never reliant on money from ACL.

Coventry were building their own in the new ground remember.
Also they wouldn't pay the rent seems to me once bitten and all that.

So you think Fisher (and Grendel) is wrong and the Ricoh is affordable?

So I don't see why they should not rename themselves as the Coventry Wasps instead of the London Wasps then perhaps they would start to turn the opinion of those doubters

Ah that old chestnut. Had they served notice or submitted plans then? Must of missed it. Similar to how I missed the trust statement saying Wasps being here was wrong.

Wouldn't pay the rent? Wasn't it a dispute over maintenance costs?

The stadium built for us has been given away to a team with no affinity with Coventry for 250 years. Of course it will have more impact. SISU won't be here in 247 years. Odd it doesn't make people angry, just makes them come out with more "yeah..but.." statements. Was it Sisu's fault? Absolutely, however a 250 year lease given out of spite will affect our future like nothing else.

If you recall Ann only sold out to Wasps as she was assured it wouldn't damage the future of CCFC. We have one year left at the stadium and Wasps chose the Higgs centre site over 18 others. Her words have a hollow ring to them now.

Not that many agree. As long as it fucks up SISU then anything that happens to CCFC is met with a shrug of the shoulders.

So let's give the stadium to a London team for 250 years. Ha, ha, etc. Yes, that'll show 'em.
