I think everyone has been on Facebook baiting the waspies.
Must admit some very good banter going on over the weekend.

You know the phrase "no news is good news"? I sadly feel that's not the case with this "takeover", which doesn't seem to have got to the end of the runway, never mind throttling up for takeoff.

Nothing likely to happen this side of the JR2 which is in July I believe, well that's what I've been told. Also told the would be buyers are still upbeat about it all.

Hoffman has put out another press release about how he's glad the trust are on board and the money will be to fund the club ongoing.

I think he is expecting to just put out things in the telegraph and joy will approach him?

Thats a bit of a worry. Do the consortium not have enough money to themselves? What happens when the Trusts money runs out?

Any comments from Les Reid? Apart from the cut and paste "out of town Rugby club " buying the undervalued lease usual stuff.

If they have actually spoken, at least GH will have obtained a ball park figure from JS. I imagine that figure will be astronomical, and as we all know, the lady's not for turning....

If it is true and she is meeting him wouldn't that mean that the lady is for turning?

Not dead no. But, highly likely she is asking for a ridiculous amount of money for the carcass of the club. Not being overly negative, but if they had got close to the asking price with their previous (3) bids surely they would have had dialogue before now. Strange that the Trust gets involved and within a week Joy's chatting on the blower. All very odd. I sincerely hope she throws in the towel, but I really can't see it being acceptable to all parties.

I'd agree, could see nothing happening.

That being said, the fact she;'s willing to talk is a good thing, however you look at it. At least do them the courtesy of a chat, even if it's a futile one!

From what I've heard sisu want 30m and ryton. The biggest offer from this consortium involved 4m up front. Can't see this going anywhere unless the trust can raise 26m from the fans

But if they can raise £26m they don't really need the consortium ?

Personally I think an offer of £10m upfront would get SISU listening and £15m would see them gone.

Offers of £4m and we'll pay you more when we win the Champions League aren't going to go anywhere.

My point was first Hoffman then the "consortium" said they had the funds to make an offer
Now they want / need the supporters to fund an unknown sum ?

The funds they have or are prepared to use are laughable that's the problem.

Was it not obvious when their first bid was less than a million?

I have no idea what their funds are.
Just wondered if you had any insider knowledge.
To be honest, they could all be billionaires, why should they bid over what the clubs worth and it must be currently worth very little.
