Lot of bad mouthing towards Hoffman on here by the usual suspects, now I don't know the bloke from Adam other than knowing dealing in big finance deals is his forte and I'm certain he will have gone into these takeover talks with a plan and the groundwork from his prospective in place, we should all give respect for that.

So I assume you do not think Wasps are spending money and time getting legal advice about the situation - yes I sure they are, I'm sure they are getting all kinds of legal advice all the time on many aspects of their business and property development. They are merely an interested party, a witness.

I also assume you do not believe their is any potential legal ramifications at the end of this that could affect Wasps in a negative way? No I don't think there are any ramifications to wasps, if there is found to be wrong doing, the council will get a fine and a telling off. Nothing will happen to wasps

Same question to you as put to Nick. If it is not true that Wasps will not talk whilst they are dragged into a legal dispute. Why won't they talk? its all about putting pressure on the club to sign a long term deal on significantly worse terms IMO. This will be also be tied in to needing some longevity in order to get a stadium sponsor. The only way you can disprove this, and that it is all about legal issues is if sisu are still here next season, thr JR is ongoing and we're having to kick off in a groundshare somewhere else because wasps have continued to refuse to do a deal. Personally I don't think that will happen.

Another club will agree to a groundshare if the worst was to happen, its a completely different scenario to last time. I'm confused to why if wasps refuse to give us a new deal and kick us out, that us fans would be hostile to another club if they were helping us - it woudo be groundshare or expulsion from the football league. It won't need to happen as wasps will concede and agree another short term deal.

Exactly, and it gives wasps a free pass. They are merely an interested party, it will have very little affect on them, thr legal noise line is bollocks IMO. But sisu are wankers so it must be true.

You say another club will agree a ground share, which club do you think that will be then? Walsall I believe said no last time,Leicester not a hope, Birmingham doubtful why would they want their ground to be used a further 25 times. After last time I doubt if Northampton fans would want the controversy of us back there again. Plus on what terms would the EFL grant us another move away when 4 years ago SISU promised a new ground. My worry is that it would be easier for the EFL to just through us out of the league and just demote 1 team out of division 2.
Why should Wasp give us another deal, when Hoffman has already talked of not only staying at the RIcoh but indeed of moving the shop and probably ticket office back there, which means more money for Wasps..
Even if we were to get a ground share, what do you think the gates would be this time. Last time we attracted what barely 2000 fans, this time we virtually no away fans, gates would probably struggle to reach 1000. With the greater media attention now on club ownership, I doubt this time if the EFL,will just allow SISU to give some vague promise of a eventual return to Coventry.
SISU strength is that they own the club, but their huge weakness is they don't have a ground to play at, in just over 12 months time, and they know everybody else knows that too. Fast forward 4 or 5 months and the EFL will start to get twitchy about were we will be playing in a short few months time.

Ha. The FL will kick a club out because of a commercial dispute? Not a chance in hell. If needed a ground share will be agreed.

No the EFL would kick us out because we would not be able to fulfil our fixtures, without a ground. You and others clearly believe another club would agree to share their ground with us, you maybe right, although I have my doubts. The worry is we maybe very shortly finding out whose view is right.

Again, its a completely different scenario to last time, this time if the worst was to happen it would have been crystal clear to all that the club had been kicked out, someone will offer a groundshare, my guess Northampton again or Walsall will change their stance, but Blues could also be an option. There is also the potential for the Butts, Nuneaton or Hinckleys ground with temporary stands. There is no way the FL will kick us out of the FL on the back of a commercial dispute, they didn't last time and they certainly won't this time. Don't forget, the club have been keeping the FL in the loop, despite what we think of Fishers BS, the FL will already have their eyes wide open on this.

It won't come down to that anyway as i'm confident when push comes to shove Wasps will agree another short term deal for us to stay. What Hoffman has talked about with Wasps has no baring on anything as he doesnt own the club. We have far more pressing things to worry about, and that's the immediate future of our academy.

FWIW I've heard the dressing room are informed we're definitely leaving after the coming season and discussions have been undertaken with Nuneaton.
That has come through family members of a current squad member.
No idea if it's accurate.

Not so sure, SISU have at least cleared the ongoing liabilities, there are no long expensive contracts to pay out on for players who are not performing, there are only 3 or 4 senior professionals contracted next season. The real question is as ever what SISU want assuming they find a way to run the club without putting cash in.

You could sneak in through the allotment.
And throw carrots on the pitch.
What would the rent be I wonder.
What if they want 2 million a year for ten years?

Apart from getting consent from another club to use their ground and then the okay from the local authority permission will be needed from the police, I was told a while ago Warwickshire police don't have the manpower since the cutbacks to police major football

I think Nuneaton would be hard to police for league games. There is only one entrance to the site.

fair play to Hoffman, he's having a go but I don't think he's got the financial backing he'll need to make a decent offer that sisu would even consider, we need somebody with more money than sense to pay what sisu want

Warwickshire deliver policing in a strategic alliance with West Mercia which includes Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire. I'm sure there is enough policing in the strategic alliance to cover a football game.

Hey its something I heard a couple of months ago.
It may have traction or not but I posted it for Stupot07 really as he seems convinced something with Wasps will fall into place and it may well do.
But If it is accurate, questions arise about the direction of travel with the Club re what stature they actually want and how many fans they hope to attract.
So can it be true that a Club under three managers in 4 -5 seasons look like they're on the verge come January with reasonable /rising gates apart from Pressleys first six months in Northampton.
Then fall away on the back of player sales, failure to offer further backing, manager disillusionment etc.
Is it all coincidence?
I can't tell and it could be argued why a player would know any of this.

If you were being cynical you would say it's almost as if they're actively trying to drag the club down. If you were being cynical. It certainly would explain a lot. Including how TF has been in a job so long.

They were probably shitting it last season when we were flying and getting near 17K crowds. Again. If you were being cynical you would say that it also explains the almighty FU that was last seasons January transfer window.

Tony there are many things that need explanation.
The one perplexing me was that £600 K. shortfall on the gate money last January based on the 11k attendance, which ultimately needed to be 14k.
£2.3M budget, has that been shown in this year's books, (I think so).
I thought possibly that TM had exceeded the limit and spent £2.9M, but no meaning his budget was realistically £1.7M the same as is likely this year's on rising price but reduced attendance.
Playing budget reduced from £2.5M under Pressley to what I've just speculated over three seasons, a third over three seasons.
That's heavy cutting.
Bonus structure being part of that, was that implemented pre season or during?
