I ask again why would a City fan be worried about Sisus debt? I for one couldn't give a fuck about it. I would want a coventry consortium to get the club for as little as possible. But each to their own I suppose. Looking forward to the next piece in the local chip wrapper where poor old Sisu are being shafted by evil local mafia dons.

because it has a direct affect on our chances of getting rid of them.
Do I care if they fuck off without recuperating their debt, not at all as long as they fuck off.

So is there anything else in the wind? Or are you lot going to keep yourselves "entertained" by sitting on this thread until the new fixtures come out?

Don't think it could be any simpler.

No idea where all of the "why do people are what sisu get" shit comes from.

Not as much as people like to make out. What did they actually pay of in hard cash? What was written of as part of the deal? What then remained? What was then written of with the administration of Ltd? What did the FL make them write of then as part of the agreement to transfer the golden share?

Pretty sure you'll find out that in the end it didn't actually cost them that much in the first place, then sat on the books costing them nothing and anything that was left was lost in the admin process for Ltd. Could be wrong and I am happy to hear otherwise.

And I'm sure Hoffman would be free to do the same if he could wangle it. The point is SISU took on debts for £1 which is different to Hoffman paying £1.2m for a debt free club.

To argue anything different is ridiculous

Well...

1. Let and .

2. Now this means that .

3. If we multiply both sides by we get .

4. If we then subtract from both sides we would have .

5. We can then factorise both sides to get .

6. Dividing both sides by would give us .

7. Substituting back the values of and would give us that .

8. So this “proves” that not .

Must say, i'm disappointed in you hill, OSB has been running his online accountancy course for some years now, and you haven't become an expert yet? Shame on you, and all who sail in you.

Quite common nowadays.

I said the other day that Joy's statement was bullshit and he tried to argue it.

The value of Ryton is one sticking point. Ryton as a training ground is worth a lot less than Ryton as land for housing.

A quick google throws up that land for housing in England averages £6m a hectare. Its got to be at least a couple of hectares so that would be £12m on its own.

Add in the value of the players and the 'brand' for want of a better word and you'd be north of £15m.

Then take off football creditors and the costs of replacing pitch provision if Ryton went and you'd have to be offering SISU over £10m I would have thought.

I thought I had seen £2m mentioned as a value for Ryton, so wondered after chief's post what housing land was actually going for. I guess it varies from place to place of course

Found some more detailing info. According to the Department of Communities Land Value Estimate report from February 2015 average value per hectare in Coventry is £1.5m

According to this: Google Maps Area Calculator Tool

Ryton is 7.19 acres

Although, there isn't even any planning on it yet is there?

Shouldn't the same be said when SISU supposedly offered a little more than Wasps did for the share?

Who has said Higgs had to accept it? It's been pointed out multiple times it was never going to be accepted and why.

I was talking from if there was a takeover rather than SISU are going to go an build a new one.
But if there was a takeover by Hoffman then he would still require a training ground/facility, for the club to continue. Hoffman could hardly buy the club, if SISU kept Ryton and the club had no where to train. So that is hardly a viable solution. In the same way it would seem inconceivable that Hoffman would agree a takeover, unless they had some guarantees at the Ricoh.
Yes SISU could potentially liquidate and sell Ryton but then I believe the players would be become free agents, so no value then to SISU. So if SISU wish to sell the club as an ongoing concern, it would either have to include Ryton training ground, or an effective replacement training ground.
The ongoing problem for SISU still remains, in 12 months time they have currently nowhere to carry on running the club with no ground to play at. Wasps know that, Hoffman know that, yes even CCC know that. The one thing they all have in common, is that they want SISU gone.

Yes, I was commenting on so far.

There are multiple reasons on here why it isn't a very good offer and why it wouldn't be accepted.

If he bids again and it's completely different then obviously it would be different..

If the club is breaking even, the same money going in/out

Get that, and I totally agree.... however breaking even has got us to League Two along with some horrendous decisions. I was merely saying a new owner needs to throw money at it for success, which Gary Hoffman's consortium do not appear to have.

In my opinion any deal that will be done, will be done behind closed doors and not in public.
The club will continue to be run by SISU on a breakeven basis. A new owner could continue to do the same BUT the big difference is that SISU are facing a massive decrease in revenue, due to alienating the fans. Whilst, a new owner would probably face a decrease on current revenues BUT nowhere near the scale of our current owners. I fear that CCFC will be hopelessly under resourced next season if our current owners are in charge.
