Why would people worry about how much Sisu would get? Very strange

I'm worried that if GH doesnt offer enough then SISU aint gonna leave and we are stuck with them until the club dies, so yeah i'm worried about how much they will get

No because it's silly, did Hoffman make an offer to buy Stevenson?

How's it silly then? As he will be getting Willis and other players / ryton too.

It's almost like you can't see the point. Nobody cares about their pocket, they care about the likeliness of them going.

Saying "you should accept it" won't make them.

I'd also be worried if any offer handicaps the club going forward, by handing over certain revenues to SISU.

Seems we're stuck between a rock and a hard place, eh.

Maybe not so much. Sure it isn't going to help having to hand over a percentage of future revenues to SISU for a period of time but compared to having SISU still here it might be the lesser of two evils and possibly by some distance. Maybe.

CCFC worth - by lecturer in football finance Liverpool

In this instance after details have come out it is actually a poor offer.

Well, the 1st deal was in the paper, and the 2nd, plus Hoffman went on the radio and discussed it?

What do you think you know about the deal that's different?

And a club without an academy base or stadium or long term tenancy agreement and a club which is losing money everyweek devalues it.

Most people wouldn't buy a £20,000 asset at full price if you needed to put in another £100,000 just to make it in working order. It's like buying/selling the engine to a Ferrari without having the actual car. Sure that engine may still be worth a lot of money but without the whole package it's useless.

Which is why in the past I've argued the best way to get rid of Sisu is to give them something they can actually sell on. Why in the past I supported the idea of having our own stadium and packing out home matches, if we were in the championship, in our own stadium getting 18-20k a week then we might be able to drum up a bit more interest and Sisu might just leave.

At the moment Sisu don't have a football club to sell. They have a couple of promising players, a lot of shit ones who are actually liabilities and a few grass fields with changing rooms.

Yes, if we owned the stadium then he would have to bid even more.

If he got all of the things he would be bidding for, it wouldn't be a case of a ferrari without an engine would it?

They have 6 times more to sell than what's been offered.

You are looking really stupid.

Doesn't matter what they have to sell, it's useless without the whole package which they don't have

So why wouldn't they just sell Ryton and Stevenson and make at least double what he is offering?

If it was the full package with a stadium etc then it would obviously be higher.

Said it a few times Hoffman should just tell them to keep Ryton to make the purchase price lower and make them feel like they get more out of the deal.

Get a crowd funder on the go and build a community hub type thing, birthday parties, kids football presentations, little bar etc with a training ground etc. Portsmouth did the same for a training ground. Local businesses with advertising and sponsorship, "sponsor the players toilets"

I know Ryton is historic for CCFC etc, but I can take losing that.

Maybe from there point, they probably should. They will get more selling each part individually than as a whole package because at the moment the package doesn't work, no one is going to come and beat the offer from hofman and his group.
From the noises coming out from the SISU camp it sounds like that is what they will do.

Yes with the full package it obviously becomes higher, although not only just because of the added value a stadium etc. would add, but also because they would be selling a working product and not the broken one they have now.

From their point of view though if they can make 5 times the value why wouldn't they do it that way?

From our perspective it's dog shit. They will happily keep the club at arms length ticking over on it's own.

If it was such and undervalued offer where is the line of buyers looking to outbid him and pick up a bargain.

Do you really think we'll get a million for Stevenson? If sisu are banking on that think they'll be disappointed. Has a lot to do yet for me to be anywhere near that valuation. Going to be a lot of more established players about in the close season up for grabs I know Brentford were sniffing around for him January but that was all. He has promise yes but needs more time to come to that valuation imo.

Curious. If Hoffman offered what they did in that 2nd bid, but threw in Ryton as well, would you support it ?

If somebody comes in and offers a £1 more it doesn't mean they would sell it to them. It's not an auction or a closed envelope sale or anything.
