So you think it's SISU leaking to Italia and others?

If other people have put in offers and nothing is said, but Hoffman does and it's in the press. That secretive he has meetings in public coffee shops and not board rooms?

Why are so many rumours "I know somebody who knows Hoffman"...

You wouldn't make a good defence lawyer

That's the point though. It's clearly from Hoffman's side, but most likely not him

So what you mean is, you want to ignore everything else and just focus on the Observer? Even though lots of parties have been at it for years as bad as each other?

But as nick said, we know who is feeding them. The rumour on FB and on here got about before anything in the press.

Which makes you wonder why?

Why make it so public and make bids that are never going to be accepted?

I think the whole thing was stumbled across, and somebody couldn't keep their mouth shut which then gave certain
People the ideal opportunity to put the boot in

Exactly, why is it people like BHSB and I have seen other trust people question who has told the Observer? Fuck sake it's obvious to anybody with eyes who told them and why they were told.

The bids? Testing the water perhaps? BHSB has answered the first point

Italia stumbled across it?

It's a bit more than stumbled across isn't it?

Why the massive anger at the Observer for printing the details? We knew it was Hoffman before they named him so that isn't really the issue, it's the actual figures people seem annoyed about being printed.

It seemed to counter the "amazing deal" and "only paid £1" and "hard to refuse" lines that were being put out didn't it?

Of course it's obvious as I've said look at the tone. And who is it do you think that's getting jittery? Who absolutely would not want a deal? Not that I'm saying there is a deal to be done

could have sworn he wrote a post on how it was reasonable if just purchasing the club

if sisu want their losses back then probably a huge increase required.

Not really. Italia put it out a bid was going in, and be prepared to get angry. Clearly whoever was feeding him knew how "good" the bid was...

So if you are saying SISU are leaking it because they don't want a deal...Who is telling people like Italia in advance which is clearly not SISU...

Have a look at the bigger picture and how it plays out.

Rumours come out about takeover, bigged up as done deal (gets fans hopes up)
More rumours about deals being too good to be true, good news coming, cant turn down, will make them think (excitement) People were being prepared to get angry.
Offer rejected (anger)
Massive new offer going in, no way can sisu say no, fans on board etc (excitement again). People were being prepared to get angry, this bid will make them think.
Offer Rejected (anger)

How does that play out if we never saw the details / figures?

Massive outrage at figures being shown, the same figures that show it was a bad offer. Almost as if it's countered the above.

Because maybe most fans would be angry about a bid being rejected without even knowing the figures??

We can be quite black or white at times... :emoji_relaxed:

Hoffman has said they only paid a quid, how it's worth nothing etc so the bid is generous.

So then they give the figures out that show actually it wasn't a very good, too good to be true offer.

It's a big PR game. That's not me saying italia is meeting with PR companies either, but let's not pretend it's all a big accident people find out

Or, hoff just didn't want the fans to know the offer was, in fact, quite derisory?

Exactly!

In fact, I'd say if he had a bid rejected that was amazing he would / should be shouting about it

Have a look at the original post I'm not on Facebook so don't know. Said the deal was almost done that's why I think it was bulshit however the here happened to be some truth in it ie stumbled across the it got a life of its own, i.e. NCP sorry Italia got involved

What if they aren't bidding more for what they are actually bidding for is worth..........

CCFC worth - by lecturer in football finance Liverpool

In this instance after details have come out it is actually a poor offer.

Can you expand on why it's a good offer with why etc?

"in your opinion" is a bit lazy isn't it, usually when you have no idea how to actually prove it wrong.

5m upfront. with add ons to 20m depending on success might be good idea for 3rd bid

A change of ownership is the key issue for CCFC. Without it, the season ticket sales will be dire and MR might as well walk away from the club before the start of next season, as he'll have no chance of producing a credible team.
The longer we carry on with a fan base that is alienated from the owners, then the chances of survival in the EFL become more difficult.
The valuation of CCFC will decrease throughout next season.............how much for a club with nowhere to play, no academy and potentially relegated to non-league? If something does not materialise, then I fear for our prospects.

i did when it was first posted, i thought he wrote something about it being fair

just read again:

If the latest bid of £500k is for Otium then it could be seen as fair value depending on how much of the loans or preference shares are taken on.

that was bit that stuck in my mind. read entire post again and yeh he says its still not value of players etc

hopefully if a 3rd bid goes in its 5m or more upfront to tempt sisu.

p.s i was right......again hehehehe

My opinion, if Hoffman is offering £500,000 and £1,000,000 for the football club - would suggest there is no real money behind the consortium. I appreciate the club isn't worth much but I cannot see SISU walking away from the football club without even part of their debt paid or to be paid in the future.

Clearly, Mr Hoffman has waited until the club was relegated to get the club on the cheap! I for one want new owners and SISU out but I would like (in an ideal world) a new owner who has money to throw at the football club, and not just run it breaking even like our current owners.
