Maybe it isn't his position but he just isn't working hard enough

Let’s be honest, you have no idea how close he is to the first team.

if he was fit, he’d be starting against Watford in my opinion.

Despite the fact you have never seen him play?
People not in the team are always seen as obvious solutions by fans, based on the fact they haven't made any mistakes.

Have thought his best minutes were when Palmer came on in previous games and he moved back into the deeper midfield 2. Had more influence on the game.

It's early days, we need to give him time. Same for any of the new signings.

He was excellent against Oxford in the first 60 mins or so.

Absolutely ran the show and Oxford couldn't pick him up.

Obviously he's been poor since then but so has the team as a whole. When Sheaf is back and we're playing better he'll be a big player for us I'm very confident in that.

I can't believe we are doing this after a handful of games again. Rudoni will be a good player for us. The whole midfield unit is a mess right now - a fully fit Sheaf and our midfield problems (largely) go away.

Did anyone else notice on Saturday in the 2nd half after BTA came on that when we were in possession Rudoni was effectively playing as a RW he was so far pushed up ? Not sure if this was a Robins idea to have a left footed player able to invert or he took it upon himself but it seemed odd

I think he will prove to be a good player.

It is early to make an assessment but I agree with those who say that he needs to be lying deeper.

In my opinion his best role will be picking up the ball from the defence and then moving the ball forwards at pace to set up our attacks. With better service we will get the best out of our forward players.

I think in time he could be as good if not better than O’Hare.

We need to find the best position for him (see my previous post above) and play with a formation which gets the best out of the players we have.

We looked good in the first half of the league game against Oxford when we played with intensity from the start. I want to see more of that.

You're all turning on players too quickly like you did at the start of last season. Like last year's bunch, I believe we have added some more very good players.
The problem is Robins seems to notice things aren't working long after someone with even the most basic understanding. Last season it was the shape, this season he's simply selecting the wrong players, as well as setting us up way too passive.

Jury is still out, but let’s give him time. We haven’t seen him in a team with Sheaf for any length of time yet.

Hamer, Gykores, Wright and Simms weren’t instant hits.

It’s obvious Rudoni has a good footballing brain and can be that creative force for us. I also think he’ll start weighing in with goals. He’s part of a system that’s not clicking at the minute and is suffering along with a few others.

Yep - easy to go back and find threads where many were slating both Hamer and Vik. It just shows that a lot of us who get the knives out for players (especially in the first 6 months or so of their time with us) are not very good judges of footballers (and yet few on here would admit to it).

I've noticed that already there is a theme (especially on Facebook) 'time for MR to go' 'DK has done nothing for us' and slating players. If you look at how we've progressed under MR's tenure I think we'd be mad to throw things up in the air and start again. A settled fanbase and club should lead to more settled players. Those wanting to shake it all up will be the first to moan if after dragging a successful set up down, it doesn't improve things. I can't remember where I posted it, but I've said before that I expect next season to be better than this, but I haven;t given up on this. For the record, I think we'll lose to Watford - I'm still going (meltdown - but Watford are a good side) then beat Swansea (faith will be a bit restored!) End of minor rant, having just got back from a short break. PUSB!!

So far it’s been a meh with Rudoni’s performances. In pre-season he looked good and the signs were good for the start.

In the games so far he hasn’t impressed. What is his position? What’s his role? He looks lost in the 10 role.

Another one where we expected a bit more.

Playing Against Better Players Might have Something to do with it!!!

What is his Position? I think Playing in the Hamer role might Suit him best because in Front of Goal, he's Like a Rabbit in the Headlights, as We Saw Against Norwich.

Another lad who looks really good to me. Goes missing less than O'Hare and is involved all over the pitch. I'd love to see his touch map from last night as I think he covered every inch.

Feels like we have a few players who will grow as the season goes on and he's one of them for sure.

He's been much better in the last couple of games, but he's playing a bit closer to the other midfielders. Early season he was a bit too close to the front 3 and difficult to find. Been unlucky not to score in the last two games as well. Early days but positive signs.

That's the key for me , if he plays to high he stifles his game . Needs to play ,like last night , between the lines

Absolutely outstanding last night. Ran his socks off . His generally all round awareness was excellent. He wants the ball and , for me, when he went off we just weren't the same.

Quote from a Huddeersfield fan.

we've had your pants down with £6m end deal. He is talented no doubt about it, but he has no end product, goal scoring in league one was good before we bought him. But I know he played in a side that got relegated, so in a better side he could flourish. He does go missing, and could sulk if things are not working. Like i say a good player, shame to lose him, but it was obvious we would lose him. He will be a squad player, and will get injured at some point. but hope he does well for you

Quick, tall, strong. For our goal he ran away from their lad chasing him and then played in Bassette.

Let's be brutally honest, o hare would have got caught up or waited for the touch to go down.

And that's the difference and frustrated me time and time again

Genuinely not been too impressed with him so far. More because I know what a good player he is but haven’t quite seen it yet.

But last night with a front three that wanted to get in behind, he looked decent…space was created for him but he just could not find the pass. Play people like BTA and Norm in front of him and that’s when I think we will see the best out of him.

For me he isn't the O'Hare replacement at all.
He plays more like Palmer but with more mobility and better fitness levels . And while he does hit a lot of lovely passes he plays the percentage ball more often than not
