Would anyone else take him from Notts County, experienced keeper who ran the show when we played them. Could be available for a minimal fee aswell.

No, too old. Bywater is a free agent in the summer though. In fact there will be plenty of decent experienced players available in the summer

I mentioned him after that game as he still looks good, and his experience is what we need.Keep Burge as a number two though.

What's Martin Fulop doing these days? Unfinished business with him. He was good for us on loan a few years back.

Talk to Gills and Donny fans about Bywater, he is dreadful. Rather have Carroll.

Ran the show? It was a dull as ditchwater game with about 1 chance each! Give him his dues, the save from Barton was good but he hardly had anything to do! Although, I don't remember the home game?

I wasn't suggesting we signed bywater, just pointing out that there will be experienced goal keepers available for free in the summer. He just happened to be on page 1 or 2 of the list of out of contract players I posted the link of. Carroll turns 38 in September, that's too old. He didn't stop county getting relegated. I'd like to go for someone on the up but with a bit of experience (aged 26-29), rather than a real old head.

Burge has improved with a spell in he first team. Unreasonable to expect him to improve more next seaon, and spend whatever budget we have on the outfield?

Definitely an experienced head for me and I'm pretty sure that is Mowbray stays he will bring in a few gems. We can't be pissing about with this position like we have this season. It's been an absolute farce. Personally don't want to see Burge in the number 1 shirt again, ideally he will be loaned out and never seen again. There has been hype about the lad we signed from Arsenal so perhaps he will kick on next season as back up.

My fitness will improve if I go to the gym every day, it doesn't make me Mo Farah!

We do need a goalie! Burge could go out on loan to League 2 to make his mistakes while he learns!

I'd rather have a player with upward momentum than an old has-been gliding down the leagues.

Exactly. He just isn't good enough in any way shape or form and can't see that changing any time soon. The mistakes he's made have been costly (only have to look back a week for his part in 2 of the 3 Crewe goals) and we cannot afford to have such a liability in such a critical position. Can't kick, doesn't command, flaps, fumbles, takes an age to do anything with the ball to name a few.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If he hadn't come through our Academy and brought in as a signing, people would be up in arms at what an appalling 'keeper we have.

Burge is pretty good. He made some mistakes against Crewe which were costly but since he's come back into the team he's looked solid and commands his area very well (much better than Allsopp). I would expect to see him as our number 1 next season.

Aside from Crewe I can't think of any times I've seen him flapping Nick.

Would much rather him come and flap than stay on his line dithering like Allsop (although if he can get rid of the flapping, even better)
