Forgive me if I have missed something but are there any plans for Rowleys green roundabout where the flag poles are and where the olympic rings used to sit? A huge city badge or some sort of sculpture of a phonix / elephant etc would look great there... a great welcome for the away team! PUSB

There were plans a year or two ago to smarten it up, a bit of landscaping and some advertising screens but maybe shelved.

Agree, a large sculpture would be great. Gateway to the city, the whole area needs a facelift, it's pretty grim, although I did hear there are plans for landscaping and external improvements to the arena for next summer.

Still angers me to this day that the International Olympic Committee told the council to pull down the Olympic rings and throw them into landfill.

It looked brilliant and a sense of pride being an Olympic host city.

Somehow an idiot in a car was driving through the fans towards Christ the King after the match.

Didn't we get told some crap like it wasn't safe to put flags on the flagpoles the last time we asked the council. Seem to recall some very bizarre reason was given.

I did wonder why in these days of flags on everything else we hadn’t had any out on the big empty flagpoles.

If promoted a mega statue of Doug in CCFC speedos. CCFC chest tattoo. Hair immaculate. Kicking a prostrate Rob Gurney and Lorna Bailey for their part in the CWR disgrace that was the conference after Mark Robins left. Contemporary story telling and a perfect introduction to Cov.

I liked Rob Gurney in the late 90's... remember him literaly passing out when Huckerby scored that 3rd against United

He's grown on me this season Paul. But I honestly miss the more iconic commentary and moments from Clive - very special on our rise from L2.

Reminds me of a joke.....

Jesus and his disciples walk into a restaurant for the Last Supper.
Jesus: "Table for 26 please"
Waiter: "But there are only 13 of you"
Jesus:"Yes but we all want to sit on the same side!"
