I'm a bit too young to claim a real memory of his playing ability, but the name of Ronnie Farmer is integral to the glory years of the 60s that thrilled me as a child. RIP Ronnie, never to be forgotten.

Played for him many years ago. Straight talking and you knew where you stood with him. I liked that. Wont get into specifics but the season after i left the club he made it a mission to walk into the away dressing room after seeing the team sheet to find me and wish me luck. Nice touch.

I worked with Ron at Massys he was chargehand in the paint shop actually by coincidence took over from another city star Reg Matthews got to know him out of work and he helped me with a youth team I ran, he had great stories of his football career especially here at ccfc He loved Cov City. He has/had a fantastic collection of scrap books with all sorts of stuff in be nice to see what happens to that.
