Just watching some YouTube videos of him, arguibly my favourite ever footballer... Looking at serie A and the defenders back then and in general his turn of pace, skill and finishing ability against some of the greatest defenders of all time for club and Country in an era packed with genuine all time greats....

Question :without the injuries, does anybody think he could have gone on to become the Greatest player of all time?

For me he's the Greatest number 9 I've ever seen
Picture : Maldini and cannavaro both lunge to tackle Ronaldo

I remember watching him for Madrid in the CL vs Man Utd in 2003 when he absolutely decimated them at Old Trafford, and just being in awe. Even after the injuries he could be unplayable at times.

And yeah, I think injuries probably robbed us of the greatest of all time. He’d absolutely clean up if he was around today.

Undoubtedly the greatest centre forward I’ve ever seen play, and more than deserved of the hype that surrounded him as a kid at PSV and Barcelona.

Truly, a phenomenon, and without those cruel knee injuries, his career would have looked better than Messi’s.

CR7 isn’t fit to buff his boots, the big ponce.

He is the best striker I've ever seen, so dynamic. loved to watch him. Messi is probably the best ever but as a pure striker R9 is my favorite

The documentary is really good.

That footage of him re injuring his knee is horrific

I think his legend has grown with retirement, the best I saw was Van Basten not the same type of player but wonderful
