We've been taking between 1200 & 1800 all season so its pretty much running with that.
Really don't get why people were thinking we'd take 3500.

Wrong again. We took more than 1,800 to about half our away games this season & the only reason its not more is the size of some allocations.

1,620 is garbage for this game, its actually pretty pathetic.

Poor following in the circumstances..

I said the other day, we've sold out away ends much bigger than this over the past 5 years when we've had absolutely nothing to play for.

We are in the best position in 10 years, playing some properly decent football and are struggling to sell 2000 tickets.

Add to that, there are still many supporters who have missed most home games this season.

Good point maybe the people boycotting the home games aren’t just boycotting the home games

The weather may be playing a part here, as the game was in some doubt people may wait to pay on the gate

fair point, the post from Rochalde in the forum seems pretty confident of it being on.

Also, some might be giving it a miss cos it's a long boring drive, 1 or two changes (plus a walk on Manchester City Centre) on the train, or that £26 on the club coaches is too much. Plus given that the game might yet be called off due to the horrible weather, I'm surprised we've sold so many.

Rochdale have placed a dome over the pitch so I think that means the game will deffo go ahead.

1620 will probably become 1800 but anything less than 2k is disappointing. Biggest allocation we will get other than Blackpool for the remaining away games too.

While I reckon <2k could be better, I'm pleased so many people have put the issues aside to attend.

Nothing but positivity allowed!

We will sell out the second allocation and sure there will be pay on the day anything over 2k will be a good showing.

Some asked what the allocation was not how many I thought we'd bring you odd ball, that away stand can get 3800. If you bother to read up I wrote that id be happy if we sold this second allocation and 2k would be an achievement.

Really? MK Dons obviously and remember Rotherham being a really big following but apart from that i guess Bolton & Donny were close to that figure but can't see how half our away games were over 1800 following.

If you search Twitter for the clubs twitter handle and put attendance with it, it shows basically the clubs official communication of attendances. Only ones over 1,800 were:
Doncaster: 1,902
Bristol Rovers (FA Cup): 1,802
MK Dons: 6,274
Rotherham: 2,657
Oxford: 1,810
Bolton: 1,915

So 5 league games. Really good following to Rotherham that day. Decent ground too and very close to the town centre.

Totally agree. Towards the end of last season we took 2K to Peterborough, 3K to Sunderland and over 2K to Doncaster based on us having a sniff of the play offs. We are now going full tilt at autos but are struggling to sell 2K for this one, it's odd. Rochdale is actually a decent away day too.

Wycombe also, which along with Oxford, Shrewsbury and Burton sold out comfortably, so we'd have taken larger followers to all had we had a bigger allocation.

Correct, which in total is half of our away games.

Unless we’re still saying MK never really happened.

There is no getting around it- 1,900 would be a huge let down.

Would it? Why? You have to take into account the number of games and especially away games that have been bunched together recently.

No I don’t, I take into account the fact that we are 2nd, in our best season for years and we can easily take way more than this to much more meaningless games.

1800 sold in advance, pay on the day. Normally get 50-100 extra with this so looking at 1900, I wasn’t far out.

I don't think we would average more than 1400 in the Championship. Can you imagine most Coventry folk paying 28-40 on an away ticket every other week?

Correct and especially with more games on average. Only one person being harsh about it though really.

What do we do if ticket hasn't arrived in post yet? Bought on Monday morning. I notice Rochdale say no duplication allowed...

Nope, it’s a valid expectation of what we would take bearing in mind we are very well supported away from home. 1,900 is rubbish.

We'd easily beat that tbf in our first season or two. Lots of local games with big allocations. Pricing isn't that bad at some grounds, Blues charge £20 iirc.
