I still don't understand at all how that has anything to do with the manager , which is entirely the point being made

It’s not. That’s bollocks. The problem is the owners not backing the manager to the most basic level and instead relying on miracles to put us where we should be with an average manager.

I think the owners are backing him at literally the basic level that's the problem .. again though my other point seems relevant because the money required to make us a long term top side pushing for promotion seems a bit unrealistic compared with what most teams squad values and wage budgets are already in this division .. plus the teams that have parachute payments every year to contend with doesn't help

Even a substantial increase in financial power would see us still in the lower half of the league in terms of money spent

A gradual process does appear a better option for us no matter what money is put in extra or not , its much more sustainable as a business surely ?

And yet on attendances we’re a top ten side. The owners financial model doesn’t work at this level. We are where we are because of Robins and without him we’d likely still be seeing protests against the owners.

we’ve had to ship four players out to bring in one on a free, that’s not sustainable and means we can likely add one more player if we got rid of all our dead wood, which is always unlikely. Even if you think we don’t need 6/7 for a full squad, we need more than 1.

A gradual process is fine, but the progress is down to Robins and Viveash getting the most from lower quality players. There’s a reason we rarely sell to teams in the same division let alone above. Most of our squad are performing way above their natural level.

It's not entirely true is it as we spent some money on player fees this season to the tune of 2 million .. the aim i guess was to stay in the division again , we've exceeded that but have spent some money.

We've also had covid to contend with which probably took a couple million off potential transfer money along with the loss of playing at blues

Weird that because Covid is why we can’t get a fee for players yet also why we can’t spend on players. It’s like houses, everyone’s shopping in the same market. Our problem is the wage bill. I’ve no doubt robins and co could do it all with frees if needed but he’s got to run a tight as fuck ship, we use far fewer players than most, and he’s got to get more out of those players than most would.

If Robins got hit by a bus, where do you reckon we’d finish next season? I think we’d be Barnsley.

I don't, Barnsley heavily reliant on big loans that saw them through.. I think we are in a much better place in the footballing side than Barnsley ever were , we are probably more like your millwalls

There's always a chance ofcourse , let's remember alot of clubs also aren't spending the money , they ofcourse already had multiple million pound squads though to begin with

Just seen you're below Derby now. Have you also had a massive points deduction?

Problem is he made his bed all those years ago and demanded Robins be sacked.

Robins made him look stupid and rather than admit he got it wrong he doubled down and carried on digging.

Now he's so far into the hole he dug if he carries on slating Robins he looks stupid and if he admits Robins is doing a good job he looks stupid. He can't look anything other than stupid now all because of his ridiculous stubbornness.

It’s swings and roundabouts with us, we’re used to good seasons and bad ones, this seasons a bad one , next season will be better, just the way it goes, once we’ve developed players to a decent standard, we can’t afford to keep them, so we have to start again, every so often we get a decent side for a season then we have to start again. The alternative is running up debts and risking the future of the club. We’ve got to sell to survive, we’re used to it.

So are we but it still doesn’t stop people wanting us to spunk millions on new players despite where we’ve been in the not too distant past.

our fans are same, we all want a decent team, but at what cost, I’d rather be shit, than go through what the likes of Derby and Wensdeh are going through.

He is utterly clueless. I do not get his vendetta against Robins. It’s that bad he said not getting promoted would be considered a bad season - just so he can blame robins

Even if we did, he'd claim we should have got auto's/won the league and so underperformed.

So the problem is that Robins accepts the ownership don't give him enough money ? Don't get where this is going or what he's supposed to do to be honest ?
Fall out with them ? Leave ? ...confused

G blmaes MR for being complicit and in SISU's pocket, but if he stood up to them, demanding money and then resigning if they didn't give it him he'd blame him for throwing a tantrum and walking away and making ridiculous demands.
