he said after the pompey game

to rest players for the JPT i would like to see:

========murphy========
clarke==cameron==edge==reckord
===========================
====jennings===daniels========
bell=======fleck=======hussey
=========rod============

possible team perhaps? if bell is still not match fit as expected maybe elliott could play on the right?

but robins will probably keep it stronger than that, maybe jennings,bailey and baker will all play,cody for rod perhaps too.

win this and then play same 11 vs pompey for the sheff utd game

this is the team i think we should put out:

Burge
Willis Cameron Edge Reckord
Roberts Barton Sheffers Moussa
Daniels O'Donnovan

This is a perfect oppurtunity for young players like Burge and Willis to prove themselves. Its a game that will challenge thme but no too much. I think Barton and ROD can also prove themselves worthy of a place in the team

For me:
Murphy
Christie Cameron Edge Hussey
Jennings Daniels
ROD Barton Wilson
McDonald

If we're gonna play reserves then leave out the loanees

McGoldrick will play in the JPT, but not the FA Cup, I presume?

Just can't get excited about these two cups at all - it's all about the league for me at the moment - maybe a good cup run will be good for confidence and make a few quid for the club but there's always the chance it will go the other way and spoil the momentum we have presently - thoughts?

Cup runs can give us extra money. Win the FA Cup game and hope for another big earning game. This could help us keep McG. This would then help us in the league.

Disagree. It's the perfect opportunity to progress to the 3rd round of the cup and the prospect of an attractive tie.

All about the league? Really exciting, isn't it?

Appreciated and ordinarily with us bouncing around the championship all those years there's nothing I liked more than a decent few cup games to relive the monotony - but with us in League 1 it just doesn't feel the same importance to have a go in the cup competitions

On the contrary, one cup competition we're in with a realistic chance of a Wembley appearance, I don't think we could better that.

Agreed, JPT please not going to get promoted this year, so a little bit of glory would lift everyone

Would give the club massive Impetus and drag back a few thousand lapsed fans ,rub off on the rest of our season and should we somehow haul ourselves into the top six ,a perfect dress rehearsal ,even for next year.

JPT will become really interesting if we beat Sheff Utd, think the excitement will start to mount Wembley visit cannot be sniffed at. Would be huge boost for the club and us long suffering fans

Not too fussed about the FA Cup. Had a nice visit to the Emirates this season (and we got hammered) so not bothered about playing another big team this year. However the JPT offers a real shot at getting to Wembley and winning a cup. I think the winners of our tie v Sheff Utd may well go on to lift the cup...

im still gutted we giot sheff utd in JPT but beat them and we can dream of wembley

hopefully they will play a weakened team as they have fallen out of top 2 and might want to fully focus on the league

I can't see him making wholesale changes but McGoldrick and bailey aren't allowed to play, and possibly Adams won't be allowed to play so there's 2-3 enforced changes.

But it's Morcombe. We wont risk our full starting xl against a league 2 side. The side i think we should put out is more than capable to beat them and it will give the youngsters a chance to show what they can do and it will give players like Barton and ROD a chance to show Robins that they can still cut it

I think it is a big mistake to field a weakened team for any game (unless you are the likes of Arsenal or Man U). It's never worked for anyone else as the key is building consistency and momentum. How would it help to field a weak team and then lose? It would just sap moral from the squad. The FA cup could land us a huge draw in the next round. It should be a priority

dont tell me likes of barton,ball and rod are not good enough for league 2 level.
