No terrible but 2 good points for them since rooney left , switching to 5ATB has clearly helped that

Forceful bit of foreplay that. But might work on some people.

Read the social media comments from Stoke fans at half time. 45 minutes with a new manager and there were so many moaning about the football already. Madness.

They might be but it was there last home game and they got a decent draw at Burnley after it.

It still makes zero sense to sack Robins, the only argument people have for it is that he was exposed without a suitable assistant... So find a suitable assistant then!?!

Ok, maybe Robins was a part of the failure in setting up an ideal coaching set up after Adi and Dennis went. But if the rumours are that Doug vetoed Robins bringing in an assistant - then he's been set up to fail.

Accept some blame in messing up the coaching structure, but for the love of God don't get rid of a proven, loyal, successful manager of 7+ years! (Especially for a nondescript man like Lampard ).

Have another go at restructuring the coaching set up, which is what we've had to do for a new manager anyway.

Unless Robins was literally being obstropolous and a complete arsehole by refusing to work with any Assistant Manager in the world, then persevere with him, at least until the end of this season. Unless Lampard gets us promoted, this is never going to sit right with a large percentage of our fan base. And Doug's excuses for acting when he did have already been proven utter nonsense. Middlesbrough away was class, it's typical City under Robins we'd have gone up to Sunderland and won after the Derby defeat, and then no one could argue we hadn't turned the corner.

He’s partly responsible for the current mess we find ourselves in and you know you’re on rocky ground when you’re making up an alternative reality to justify why he shouldn’t have been sacked.

Those figures will be skewed by the tenures of Hughes and Pulis I would've thought.

From Lambert through to Robins today, they've had eight permanent managers in seven years. Realistically it'll be far less than that time-wise.

Mark isn’t a fast starter so may have been a bit of naivety to choose Stoke- also feels like he hasnt had much say over the coaching set up there and we do know how much he relies on that.
When he came back here, other than the JPT it took us a long time to get going in L2 and Stoke certainly don’t seem to have the patience/desperation that SISU had with managers.

People who think our squad is terrible should take a look at that Stoke side. Without Cannon there is not much there. People mocked Robins for looking at BTA but he walks into that team.

Add in the likelihood of getting sacked in 3 months and that the job is based in Stoke... can't really see the appeal.

I'll never understand why managers get so little time to change things. If nothing else, it shows that the decision makers have crap judgement. I'd be embarrassed to consistently employ people and then shove them out of the door 12-18 months later as it would suggest I'm a shit judge of character and skills.
