I think Robins will wait for complete silence before standing up, cutting the palm of his hand with a biro, making a fist and squeezing out some sky blue blood before dropping the pen, mic drop style and walking out, leaving Jordan Clarke to finish the interview and the CET to bitterly speculate that the whole thing was staged and it was just a bit of CCFC antifreeze.

High copper in your blood makes you bleed blue, maybe he has Wilson disease and we all got the wrong end of the stick?

Yep. One 'they are good people' comment and two Westerrace shitbombs through his letterbox later and he's said enough is enough.

Looks like they found it in a cupboard after it was stored for 30 years with all that dust on it!

Embarrassing for the club, they couldn't source any current kits so they've had to give him an old one. Disgrace

2.25pm – Relationships between the club, supporters and players needs to be better. I came in on the basis that we can move the club forward. You can’t for that job unless you’ve got the tools. It is at big job. It’s different managerial job compared to anywhere else in the country.

2.24pm – Robins – Been here before. I enjoyed it, moved to Huddersfield. Look at what the club nearly achieved last season. Look at the way supporters were with me last time. They fell away last season and it’s been difficult to watch this season. Too great an opportunity to resist

2.27pm – Robins – The whole structure needs looking at. We need the right people in to deliver what we need. We need a really cohesive recruitment department. It’s a well supported club that needs to be doing better.

2.29pm – Robins – Whole range of things that need to be resolved but the most important is the team. We need to put some good performances in now until the end of the season. I’ve got a clear vision. We’ve got to take every game as it comes. The academy has produced some good young players over the years and we have to make sure that’s as safe as it possibly can be. 100 per cent chance we can still stay up this year. Eight wins is what we need and we believe we can put some better performances in.

2.31pm – Robins – There’s an irony that we’re going to Wembley after what happened last time. I’m really pleased that I’ve been given the opportunity again and I hope to make a difference.

2.33pm – Robins – We need to rebuild the trust with fans. It’s about having a plan that you can implement and we need to implement that as quickly as possible. You’ve got to have good facilities and good areas for fans to support the club. I’ve got power over the team and recruitment.

2.35pm – I want to try and make a difference. It’s about having a strong feeling and connection with the club. Some people will thing managers are crazy going through the same emotions at different clubs. Probably the most different jobs in the country. A unique set up circumstances. It can be done.

2.36pm – Supporters were so good last time. All I ask is to support the players. There’s a lot of young lads in the dressing room. We’ve got some more experienced players that can make a difference. Seven of our final games are at home. Whoever comes through the door at the Ricoh has to be proud to represent them. We’re going to do our upmost to salvage some pride in our season.

2.38pm – I’ve got a feeling of pride. Under no illusions the job is difficult. It’s exciting. I need to be backed to implement the best process to attract the best players to this football club.

What I don't get is, surely he wouldn't be as stupid to say about assurances before but then come back? Surely he would have rung Mowbray up?

2.40pm – That’s the end of the press conference

2.39pm – Not looking to get things . Not a miracle worker. Have to build trust. It has to start somewhere and it has to be now. The supporters have suffered long enough. I want the fans to get behind the club.

The End.

I have to say that I'm still baffled by the whole situation. Not Slade going, that was overdue in my opinion. But MR coming in and saying what he's saying. Some of what he says reminds me a bit of...well...what SISU would say. I don't want to label him a puppet like I know some would do on here but there's something that doesn't quite sit right at the moment with some of the things he's saying.

That said, I wish him the best of luck and will give him full support until he fails to win us the Champions League in 2023. I feel a little better about 2nd April now with Slade not in charge.

Well he's saying all the right things but as ever will he live up to his words.

Got to agree the whole thing is odd. Unless a takeover, or a total 180 by SISU, is on the cards I can't see why he's here.

He has been out of work for a year. He was sacked by Scunthorpe. Assurances are no longer as important as they are when you have other options.

A lot has changed in his credibility of a manager since he was getting poached by us.
