Not happy with performance, he just tells it as it is. Sloppy, lack of energy, didn't deal with PNE's aerial threat (again!). PNE goals were sloppy. Roar from crowd when 5 minutes of stoppage time announced gave us energy which we lacked.

Loving his no-BS approach when talking to the press.

Yea we were pretty poor but Preston had no quality in the final third, two jammy goals and nothing else the whole match, barely even a half chance for them

The biggest positive tonight is the spirit and never say die attitude

Also noted that Moussa didnt start because he likes to dribble too much, as he did for their second goal, but also he commented about the pitch. I say out of my normal seat today and had a different view and have to admit it looked awful! Have we sacked the decent groundsman we had or have his standards slipped?

The best thing he said when asked about the Doncaster Job was 'I'm not going anywhere' if you hear him say it you tend to believe it :claping hands:

If Robins told me I was starting up front on Sunday I would believe him. The man is a footballing God.

Ive never had so much faith in a Coventry manager. everything he said on the radio after that game was spot on, and he talks about the fans so well, makes sure he knows we are appriciated. and you are right, no BS, no skirting around the question on the doncaster rumours, a very firm, straight 'im not going' sorted.

he says it exactly how i want to hear the manager of my football club say it.

At this rate we really should consider giving him an improved contract. SISU's best signing, by far. Clubs are sacking their Managers all over the place and more and more of them are going to be looking in our direction.

Good record, good attitude, good man-management.

All reasons why the likes of Doncaster and Blackpool will be interested in him

http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/robins-post-preston-jpt-590665.aspx

"We didn't play very well to be honest. We coped with their aerial bombardment but they put us under pressure and stopped us playing out from the back which I wasn't happy about but we kept going.

"We took the lead and braved to get on the ball and we kept working hard which was a massive plus for us because we got that lifeline at 2-2 and kept going to get another one.

"I'm just glad the ball fell to Leon in that bit of space for the winner because he could take a touch before he tapped it in."

Robins dedicated the win to former club receptionist Michelle Ridley who passed away suddenly just before Christmas and he went on to say that the result was a prime example of what happens when you work hard.

"It's amazing if you work hard how things drop for you and we've come out on top. There's two teams left in our area of the competition in Crewe and Bradford who play next week so now we wait for the winner of that."

He also had a word for the 12,000-strong crowd who willed City on as the final moments of the game ticked by.

"You just look up and you see how much it meant to the fans because they were magnificent again for us tonight. That's what football is all about."

Robins is a tough sod. Doesn't mince his word. He's clear and honest, always. You can only respect that, and the players obviously do as they're really playing for him. Best I've felt about a Cov manager for a loooong time.

we, at last, have the prospect of a club going forward,
if, the TF, SW, JS, brigade have taken this on board then there is real hope,
if however this is dismissed then we await the next instalment
