Definitely good news, I certainly feel more optimistic about our chances than I did before.

I made the point on another thread, but the idea of 20k+ Cov fans turning up to the only game we have had to celebrate for years, to see clueless hoofball tactics and players out of position would have been anti climatic and frustrating.

Little bit of success may act as a springboard for next season and give Robins/the players some sort of belief/confidence.

I hope it is him. Plays good fast attacking football. Only shame is we can't bring in anyone now. Get the recruitment right in the summer and I may purchase another season ticket.

I think Mark Robins will have an immediate positive impact, but it'll be limited because of the quality of the players available. He'll certainly be a big improvement on Slade - in terms of his man management skills and his football nous. Having said that, I though Slade would be an improvement on Venus.................................

We should have won the JPT when he was here before, so clearly he's come back for unfinished business. And this time... it's personal. Coming to cinemas near you in April. Rated PG

What are you saying. You haven't made any conclusion yourself. I hate Mark Robins because one week he said his blood and was sky blue and the next he left us in the shit for more money. I don't believe it had anything to with SISU, he wanted another gold watch to put on his fat wrists.
And everyone sort of admitting he's a scumbag but are happy because he's going to sort us out are just blind; he's not even a half decent manager - we're going down and we won't go back up next season and not even Brian Clough reincarnated could prevent that because of SISU

if sisu had any inkling of PR they would hold a raffle of ticket buyers and get a season ticket holder to lead the team out at Wembley.

I don't think it matters who leads them out. When people gave a shit about the FA Cup you'd see teams being led out with a sense of prestige, but the JPT in 2017?

What's with Oggy love? Absolute legend of a player but so was Cyril regis and Mickey Gynn but no one calls out for them.

I can't actually understand what he's done since he's been on the staff. Our goalies are fucking shite

I get the idea of Oggy leading the team out if nobody permanent is in place but Robins has the job now so he leads the team out.

He's a scumbag because he gave us a rare bit of hope, vowed he'd stay after interest from Doncaster, said his blood was sky blue and pissed off. It was a scummy thing to do. Maybe if he was half decent I'd make an exception but he ain't going to do fuck all.

I may be in a minority, but I personally wasn't at all angry with Robins when he left. Sad he went for sure, but at no point angry and just accepted that when an offer comes in you can't refuse, you can't refuse.

He also did say he wasn't getting the assurances he needed.

Times have changed now for him and his star has been on the wane.

I have no ill feeling at all about him going, or indeed his now coming back.

Given how quick we were to turn on Slade, and how quick the club were to get rid, not sure we have any right to demand loyalty from a manager in return, if they have the opportunity to get out on their terms.

Never understood why the losing captain in the boat race has to kiss the Cox of the winning team personally?

Yep, time for a new goalkeeping coach. I wonder if Robins has the balls to be the man to sack Oggy
How long has his contract have to run, anybody know.

Forever. Can't be bad, will be pushing a Zimmer frame around and coaching the keepers.
Good work if you can get it.

What proof do you have that Oggy improved those players?

These lads were already good players with a certain pedigree. What about nobody's in the youth system coming through and becoming an excellent goalie? The current two are shit.

The names you have mentioned were all players paid for and brought in so they already had coaching up to a point.
