Another myth about our resources. Yes we don't spend money on players, but what we have atm is a squad good enough to get promoted. It is ultimately Pressley's fault if we fail to do this.

Well in that case Crewe today will be a stroll in the park.

Crewe bottom of the league, goal difference minus 21, 4 points from the last 33, lost their last four by an aggregate of 14-1 and without top scorer Haber today.

Hope you're right.

Difference being Pressley has yet to be offered another job. Loyalty in football is a myth, in the right circumstances perhaps it exists (Steven Gerrard and Liverpool for example). But 99% on here would have made the same decision Robins did, that isn't something to hold against him, it's just the way football works.

Why do so many people fail to grasp this point. To us, football clubs are an object of our loyalty. To players and managers they are the current employers. Just like us, they will move on if a job is offered with better pay and prospects. People slagged off Leon Clarke when he did what any employee would do, given a huge pay rise and signing on fee. Footballers have families, mortgages, bookies and Ferrari dealers to keep like the rest of us.

As for Pressley, if he was to be offered a job with a bigger salary, especially in a higher league, make no mistake that he would be off like a shot. Given the precarious nature of the job, managers could never be blamed for doing so.

Exactly. If I played for Coventry City, as a fan I would still leave if Leicester offered me even the same money. Better prospects. To say otherwise is Roy of the rovers rose tinted bollocks.
