I think it was Ball the other week that said the players get fined around 100quid for errors such as losing your man for a goal and so on.

So does anyone else think if we lose away from home the players should have to all put a percent of their wages to refund tickets or to pay for another game!?

This way you'd get more travelling to away games and the players would put more effort in!

If we fined the team just for bad performances we'd soon be in profit.

We should bring in similar on here.

£1000 for errors such as saying that Marlon king should play for England.

Would make quite a bit if we got £100 for every-time somebody said that Thorn scouted Dann, Fox and Best too.

About £500 just today on that one.

It wasn't for every error. It was 100 quid if your man scores from a corner. He also said there was a fine for leaving your kit lying around in the dressing room, but gave no indication as to what price it'd entail.

Both of which are quite normal things to be fined for aren't they?

The bloke's got to find the right balance between common sense and being a tyrant.

I don't know the answer, I'm not in management, but £100 is hardly a punishment. If someone makes a mistake, you rectify it, either improve their performance with adequate training - of if they aren't up to it and are consistantly poor, someone else gets the chance.

But didn't he also say that there's rewards also. So he's striking the balancing act. It's a good technique really just to add that little bit if edge to it. And a ploy I think a few managers probably use.

The Dann and Fox things really pisses me off, just proves what thick supporters we have.

Then God knows what we charge for 'Fergie couldn't do any better than Thorn', or, my personal favourite, 'Fergie copied the diamond off Thorn'. We'd have enough to buy the club, the Ricoh, and have change left to buy out Bell from his contract.

Would be too cruel though, Dongle would end up living in a card-board box, begging for scraps.

Unless Dongy is the aforementioned Bell. Might explain a fair bit.

Well obviously he didn't, it isn't as if Thorn created the diamond

However it does suggest the diamond isn't as bad a formation as everyone on here would have you believe

The remark was still made though CCFC. The diamond isn't an inherently flawed formation-but it's the only one Thorn ever stuck by despite it clearly not being appropriate to the players he had.

Which formation was appropriate to the players he had last season then?

Doesn't mean you can't have an opinion on it, which formation would you have chose to suit our players last season instead of the diamond that would be a better fit?

How rude, neither of those comments can be attributed to me.
