There is a way out of this that involves some hard graft on the training ground and some leadership. There just isn’t any in the dressing room or even among the back room staff. I respect Eccles in taking the armband and also having clearly put work into his game to improve, but far too many around him just aren’t matching his commitment or professionalism.
This is the problem when you stack a squad with prospects but no finished articles.
To me it seems that not enough signings have been of the character that MR gets the best out of.The big question is how did we get to this point and why did we move away from what has brought us success in the last few seasons?
How much had the Robins/Viveash relationship ran its course?
Who was behind implementing the new coaching structure?
Has King really blocked Robins using loans and bringing in experience like Matty James?
