Robins has said today we need to average a point a game over the next 11 games.

3 wins and 2 draws

Fairly modest as "targets" go innit?

We’ve managed 8 points in the first 11 against top of the table teams. So it’s realistic and hopefully we do it and go better.

Where has he said this out of interest? As someone who would have bitten your hand off for 21st at the start of the season and haven't spontaneously combusted at our results so far, this concerns me a little. Next 11 games we have:
Home - Blues, Cardiff, Rotherham, Luton, Huddersfield, Stoke
Away - Norwich, Derby, Wycombe, Wednesday, Preston

If we get less than 11 points from those games, I'd say our chances of staying up would be very slim. There are some games (Norwich away in particular) I imagine we will get nothing from, but plenty of games I expect us to win/not lose.

Realism seems sensible. You adjust the target upwards if we start well, pile the pressure on if start badly.

I'd hope / expect more than 11. If we get below that, I'd be worried too. My ballpark is 14/15

Mark Robins spells out Coventry City points target by Xmas

The Sky Blues have moved up to fifth from bottom of the Championship after picking up five points from their last three games

Might be wrong but that's not exactly what he's said is it? He's said he wants to be at a point a game by the 20 game mark? Which is surely 12 points from the next nine. Unless I am mistaken of course.

We have got to be targetting wins against Blues, Cardiff, Rotherham at home, and two of Wycombe, Sheff W, and Derby. Plus one or two draws from that list.

I don’t understand, how are we going to make the play offs if we only take 11 points from the next 11 games?

In reality we need more like 6 points every 5

Looking at out next eleven games win three of the six home games and two of the five away is achievable imo that would put 15 points in the pot. No games are easy but we are playing okay in the main and will get better imo.

He’s trying to reduce pressure on the players in public...

Correct. 12 from next 9. Which is realistic if not too ambitious and a big up tick from current form.

Smart move by MR as it manages expectations & I would imagine the players would think they will exceed that target... and if they do will raise moral

Do you know if he commented on the unauthorised vehicle turning up on club property?

Apparently an Allen's taxi bound for Azkaban turned up at Ryton. Booked by a Mr G.Rendal.

Need to remember that the season is long. Just took a look at some of our previous seasons. 1st season at the Ricoh for example. After 22 matches played that season we had: 4 Wins, 10 Draws, 8 defeats so 22 points. We finished 8th that year.
Things can turn around and looking a lot at previous years we have always had ridiculous winless runs. I think from our next 11 I see no reason why we can't get at least 16 points.

Yea i read it as 12 from next 9 too

Blues
Cardiff
Norwich
Derby
Rotherham
Luton
Wycombe
Huddersfield

4 of the bottom 6 in there and were one of them (even with Wednesday points they would still be down there)

Anything less than 10 points in there i'll be starting to panic.

Think were more than capable of picking up 4 wins in there.

12 points predicted from those games.
