Hi all, new member, first post.

Been reading these forums for a while now, but never posted!

Anyway, this maybe a pure coincidence but I have just seen Robert Earnshaw filling up his brand spanking new Audi at tesco petrol station at the ricoh. Now this maybe pure coincidence but i thought you might want to know!

Was going to post on gmk but anything like this normally gets 300 joke replies. I have no source other than what I witnessed!

Could well be a mere coincidence, but would be a great signing. Would love to see him at The Ricoh!

Why would he come to Coventry?? The place i mean not the football club. Apart from petrol it would appear!!

Would love to see him in a CCFC shirt however we'd never afford his transfer fee let alone wages. Would live it if SISU were to prove me wrong though and he became our "franchise" signing.

It is no surprise that a thread with that sort of content would get a barrage of jokes. How many times has Riquelme been "spotted at Anfield" previously? I recently got an Audi (not brand new mind but new enough) and I fill up at my local Tesco regularly enough. Fair play to him.

PS - if he signs I vow to back every future thread you post of this nature going forward. That is the best I can do my friend.

I think he's out of contract mate, so no transfer fee would be needed.

beat me to it

I believe he's been offered a new deal at forest on lower wages........no news of him signing that deal leaves me with a slim hope we could get him!

would happily take earnshaw he's a quality player in this league, I've also heard we've been linked with giles barnes whose available on a free after leaving derby. shows there are players available without big transfer fees.

Giles Barnes hasnt just left Derby, he's just left West Brom. And hes more likely to join Forest who hes been linked with stronger than he has us, so hes not one we will be getting!!!

Thanks RoyalScam, I was one who forgot my Manners. :welcome: to SBT Gally9

Earnshaw did retweet a great joke recently:

If you are addicted to meths, you're either an alcoholic or a South African who loves numbers.

Sign him up!

got to be a bit of truth in him filling up with petrol, who else but a pro footballer could afford to fill up their car at today's price per litre

Would love to see something come out of this rumour. He sounds like the sort of franchise player that the club were on about. Just not sure if we can afford his wages.

Could also be that Cov is on the way between Nottingham and his folks' home in Wales, and he needed to top up with fuel?

Don't know about that - I live in West Wales now and when I go through to Lincoln my route is close enough to Cov to make a slight detour to see if my old house in Poets Corner is still standing.
