Think the Car Park A pass was £280 if I remember. I go with my parents in their 70's so can't really park too much further away. They said if it was the same as Weds night on a regular basis they wouldn't go. Before these closures at least there was a slightly staggered exit. You've got hundreds of people all leaving at the same time, jostling to get the nose of their car out. Said on another post. Have seen four bumps already this season from it. Multiple other close calls. It's causing more problems than it is solving.

I suppose ultimately a dent in a car is easier to mend than RTI damage to a human being. Having said that, those human beings have a responsibilty to take care of themselves and not try to cross red lights.

For weeknight games I usually park at CTK in Coundon and get their coach to the CBS and back. After Wednesday night I'm going to be looking at alternatives, which I suppose would be having to leave before the match has finished to get the 2150 train, hang around until the 2250 train or pre-book parking nearby. I just kind of hate what a hassle getting to and from the CBS has become.

Yeah that’s fair but when you’re sat in your car watching empty roads and pavements it grates. Ten minutes post match is more than enough for most people to get away from the immediate area.

Said for years the dispersal plan for the car parks is basically non-existent and they are happy to leave it as a free for all.

The amount they charge they should be prepared to employ a few stewards until the car park empties. Force traffic into a set route so its not stop start and everyone trying to force them into any gap they spot. Would also have the lights on the roundabout manually operated to allow more cars out of the car parks.

Its not really that difficult, just seems like one the car park operator has your money they can't be arsed.

This is a deeply frustrating situation but there is never an excuse to assault someone just doing their job, and there's an irony that in doing so they actually made the situation worse. Hope whoever's responsible gets what's coming to them.

The blocking of the roads just is not in reality working - it just then creates worse bottlenecks through traffic build up when they re-open - it should just be scrapped

30000 people leaving an event and you don’t plan for their safety? Really!!!???

Surely agreeing a time and then sticking to that is fine?

Where do people have to be?

As for people being selfish if they have young children is getting home at 11.00pm desirable?

For every 400 near misses there’s an accident and similar for accidents to serious accidents thats risk management and it’s why it’s done
Is it dangerous to mix 30000 with cars yes can we mitigate the risk yes? Should we? No fuck it well risk it come on answer please.

It really doesn't help that the other alternative roads all have roadworks too.

It forces traffic either via Longford Road or you have lorries trying to get through Ash Green and Holbrooks to get to Pro Logis Park. All this does is mean that the risk has moved away a bit.

What would work better is to have stewards out and about on the roundabout, at other events they have them so that traffic still flows but it's stewarded a bit.

Does anybody who plans it go out and about to see what's happening and where after the games?

Lots certainly Dave boddy and others at the club were horrified at the hen lane roundabout and it wasn’t just supporters being idiots it was drivers probably like the person who committed the assault driving over red lights and speeding way over 50 to get away before others

How much does it cost to close the road every match day?

At this point, might be a better investment to whack another footbridge over the other side of the roundabout too.

Just completely block off the crossings and force people over the 2 foot bridges and the subway further up if they want to cross over.

I didn't even know there was a subway there until about 3 months ago, maybe push people to use it as well?

It was absolute carnage in and around car park A. The company employing these attendants also need to take a look at the issues. They are employing poor kids 16-18 to manage traffic. Most of them are probably not even old enough to drive. Car park A has two exits and when I finally got out just before 11pm there was one poor kid no older than 16 trying to stop traffic by the roundabout but cars from both directions just totally ignoring him and going around. Taxis trying to get down to the casino at the same time, its just ridiculous. Then you have 4 or 5 coaches trying to get out that parking area at the top of car park A. Honestly this car park is more dangerous and creates more problems the way its organised than when the surrounding roads were left open. For a start they need to stop the taxis coming in until the car park is empty and there needs to be someone else for all those coaches.

Lack of a road from the M6 to the A45 is an issue IMO. Forces half the city down foleshill road when there’s no need really. Not something anyone involved can fix tho.

The timing of the trains is completely maddening - I left a couple of minutes early on Wednesday to make the 21:50 and it was a breeze. Amend the schedule by even 10 minutes and you could allow hundreds more people to safely and easily leave the stadium; instead it’s almost perfectly timed so there’s no point even considering the train unless you leave early or wait almost an hour. And of course it doesn’t run at all on weekends because ~*~reasons~*~.

It’s so insane that I have to assume it’s deliberately inconvenient for crowd control reasons or something?

I must just be lucky then. I walk half a mile so I'm outside the zone and from my seat to walking through my front door is about 35 mins

I’ve parked numerous places this year. I have to go onto M6, sometimes to Nuneaton first to drop off cousin.

I have parked twice at Novotel and surrounding areas and after walking 20/25 mins have then spent best part of 45 mins before I am on the motorway I can literally see.

Have had the same issues for all car parks I have tried.

This would wind me up because its so easily solvable. For a start they're creating their own problem with two exists. You have to keep stopping one to allow traffic flow from the other which will add to the exit time.

Barrier off the end of every row to force everyone one way. stewards at the end of each lane so you let cars out of one row, move on to the next. Then you're routing all the cars one way, towards one exist, and you can have a constant flow. Even better if you stop drop off and pick up on Judds Lane and control the lights on the roundabout and have them on green for ages.

With no pedestrians around you'd clear that car park in no time at all.

I didn’t bother going on Wednesday partly because of the road closures and the issues with getting out of car park C. I can put up with it on a Saturday but for evening matches I’m not getting home until around 12.30am. I am retiring later this year so hopefully will feel different about it next season but I am questioning whether I will want to renew my ST or just pick and choose games.

It does sometimes feel like a cosmic joke; I only live a couple of miles from Leamington station so the train would be perfect, but in its current state it's by far the most convenient way to get to and from the stadium but the fact it's so damn small and only runs every hour when it actually runs means that the experience is so miserable I'm pushed back to my car.

I would have thought if you were genuinely concerned about foot traffic and motor traffic around the stadium, then nudging people towards the train service that's LITERALLY RIGHT THERE would be a priority. You don't even have to get the trains running - they're already there! - you just have to timetable them so they don't actively avoid the hundreds/thousands of people who want to use them.

We are a bigger club with a bigger fanbase now - our expectations of (and our leverage over) the relevant authorities should be greater too. And the level of effort from our side, both club and supporters groups, needs to increase as well.

It's a welcome effort, but really it's a farcical attempt to solve a 'problem' (getting thousands of people from one train station to another) that has a screamingly obvious solution.

While I understand the issues as I saw the idiots at the roundabouts for the last couple of seasons (hour does seem excessive mind).

If it’s another groups decision shouldn’t they have to front it and explain the decision making. Seems unfair to the club to left explaining a decision that there not even responsible for
