What are they actually protesting about? Global oil prices due to the war in Iran? It's expensive, yeah we all get it, but what on earth do we think pissing off the M6 will achieve?

Just ram them off the road or run the cunts over.

It's the same "socialism doesn't work" crowd but they seem to not understand that the government has no control over prices because it is all privatised

I drove back home this morning and the protest had not long started around junction 20. I normally drive back Friday lunch time and it’s bad , really bad on a normal day.
If you can I would set off earlier to avoid disappointment depending on where the protest are.

What’s nonsense is the destruction of our oil and gas industries with the resultant loss of tax revenues on the altar of net zero.

What's nonsense is our failure to invest properly in renewables, which would provide numerous jobs in research, manufacture, installation and repair creating tax revenues, especially in many coastal areas in decline which are suited to wind and tidal energy

Plus you'd have cleaner air and water reducing the number of people ill from that reducing pressure on the NHS.

Even when we had these industries we tended to import from other countries anyway because it was cheaper.

It's a travesty that we aren't close to having self-sustainable clean energy because we've been protecting fossil fuels and their shareholders.

The irony being that Norway have done just that by flogging their oil to everyone else and and creating the aforementioned sovereign wealth fund to invest in things that benefit the whole country.

No getting high on their own supply for that lot
