For all those travelling up to Blackburn, there are Fuel protests going ahead on all the major roads with road blocks and slow moving traffic stating from 12:00 until about 6pm. If you can avoid it then try to as it may mean some people can't make it to the ground

M6 J20 is just north of Preston. Might actually speed things up getting home.

Obviously Spaghetti Junction might be a problem

Nothing of note happened yesterday. No reports of anything happening yet today.

AI panic slop.

Hopefully you are correct although if they do anything at all to cause max disruption it will be Friday I expect. Hopefully it may mean less people on the roads to avoid it then nothing happens so a nice journey up for all

M6 J20 is the Lymm interchange with the M56 - Well south of Manchester.

Creating slow moving traffic on the M6 on a Friday afternoon. What a protest!

Then they plan to make water wet and grass green to really get their point across.

I didn't know so I googled it and it dropped the pin just North of Preston.

It looks like that is the mid point of the M6. I had no idea it went all the way up to Gretna.

What are they actually protesting about? Global oil prices due to the war in Iran? It's expensive, yeah we all get it, but what on earth do we think pissing off the M6 will achieve?

Just ram them off the road or run the cunts over.

Fells redundant to say "calling all HGV drivers, farmers, everyone". Surely "everyone" includes HGV drivers and farmers?

AI really does make protests look absolutely pathetic.

I am genuinely struggling to understand the logic of protesting the price of fuel by driving unnecessarily, therefore meaning that you need to get more fuel earlier than you normally would

The same logic that’s protesting a blockade in Iran on the M6. That’s the far right for you, not the brightest lads.

Yes, surely they should all traipse up the hard shoulder with a Jerry can in hand looking glum and shaking a fist at people driving EVs

I am sure the roads will be fucked anyway, largely thanks to this obsessive UK culture where everyone needs to drive their little darlings five minutes to and from school.

Plus how are some of these cretins getting to those places? Surely they'd be using fuel too
