Reports of Leicester in for King and Leeds for Westwood!!

Couldn't think of much worse teams to cherry pick our players.

I doubt both of those rumours. Leicester will want to sign a big name striker for next season to push for the premier league and Leeds already have a decent enough goalkeeper to push for promotion.

Don't see what the problem with King leaving is, yeah hes a good striker.... but strikers come and go, there's plenty more about. I don't see what the point King going to Leicester would be though when he wouldn't be gaining anything, a few places up the league at most... He should find a premiership club. If he went to Leicester it would just be betrayal.

Because for ages we've been wanting a 20 goal a season king is finally that and if he goes then I bet that we Wont get another good striker for years

Got to be fair here. King would be a huge blow to us. Not sure we would be able to replace him. We need to sign him up on a new deal quickly and lets face it he owes us. It's a two way street with him at this juncture but if a Prem side come in I would understand him wanting to leave.

As for Westwood same thing, unless it's the prem what's the point?

if there leaving who cares???? wot sort of statements that???? yeh the clubs here forever but without decent players we will b playin at an awfull standard! the last player to score over 20 goals for us was dion dublin in the prem since then theres bin no 1 who cud get near 20... since then we have bin relegated and r a average championship side but dont worry let king go and hope we get promoted wiv eastwoods 5 goals a season

In hindsight he should have been given a two year contract - or at least the contract should have had an extention clause.

If I could keep one player this season it would be King, we've waited for a striker of his quality for so many years and when Juke develops they could be a great pair up front.

All i'm saying is we'v lost star players in the past and we always manage, admittedly not much more than manage... But as much as you don't like it, we can't challenge this league anyway at the moment with our out of contract players and non existent funds, all we have is hope, nothing of substance ! (as fucking always). Finishing mid table next season is the most i'm hoping for. Don't get me wrong I love king and I think he is exactly what the club has needed for a long time ! but if we have no choice and we need to pay a couple of players wages in replacement of King in order to stay up then so be it. I think a lot of people live in a dreamworld on here !

Can't see Leeds being a good move for Westwood. Is really goin to shift Schmichael from number 1?? If anything Schmichael is equal to Westwood, but a few years his junior (isn't he??).

As for King, I don't believe there is any loyalty in football now a days, and considering he's only been here less than a season, why should he be loyal?? Not like he's a Cov kid or anything. Don't get me wrong I'd love him to b here next season, especially under Thorn, but can't see it. Would be gutted if he went Leicester (scum) though! I can see them signing some prem rejects on stupid wages tho. Suppose on reflection he fits this bill!

Spot on FP we are not in a position to sign or resign anyone the club only have enough money to the end of the season which if anyone with intelligence realises is two games away :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

fair enough fp i agree wiv ur reply totaly was worried in thinking u wud have any old crap playing 4 us! lol yeh like u said wud b real nice to keep hold of king but it is guna b hard especialy wiv no funds but im just interested how the board r going to play it this summer if they dont get investment will others go??? cud they strip the squad to kids? will they say sell two players to fund 1 players wage e.g eastwood and mcindoe to fund marlon kings if he stays or wants to? making us have a smaller but more quality of playing squad? its going to b a very interesting summer maybe the most crucial one since we got relegated

I would love King to stay, hee has got better through the season and is doing well under Thorn, I understand people saying that he shouldn't leave unless its to a prem team but Leicester got the money and neext season i can see them going for promotion while we wont be in the top half by thee looks of it. I can see Leicester getting someone 'bigger' then King though but he will be a free transfere. Also heard Cardif where after King.

Bothroyd got king on board, the board backed him because he came in as bothroyds boy, if it all went wrong the blame would have firmly been laid at the managers feet, thus the board look squeaky clean. King owes us nothing. Personally I hope he stays, best thing we've had up front in many a year.

I understood that was the case....with the extension option on our side.

And he hasn't triggered the extension by scoring quite a few goals?
