Also worth saying that if Warne had the exact same career but with the persona of someone like McGrath, Steve Waugh or Ricky Ponting, there would be nothing like the outpouring of affection. People, including the English, loved Shane the man not just Shane the cricketer.

Rubbish certainly McGrath would. Warne also commented here lived here and in later years than them played here. He was also the best Australian cricketer other than Don Bradman

Nah people haven't forgotten McGrath likes to spend his spare time shooting endangered animals and his on field petulance, along with his boorish media sledging during his playing days.

Warne was more of a personality than McGrath.

I haven’t watched it yet but it’s in my planner.
