Built a great side at Everton in the 1980s.
Had the pleasure of meeting him several times.
Also thanked him for the 4-1 which kept us up in 85.

That was unexpected and sad news, I'd have put him older than 69 too!

Saw him play for Preston in the 1964 Cup final when he was then the youngest ever player in the Final.
A real football gent.
