Not our team but "walk alone' must be the greatest football anthem song ever. Met him in NZ a number of years ago and a very humble gentleman!

Did his pacemaker fail? poor joke I know RIP Gerry you have some fantastic members for your band in the sky now, just imagine all the new anthems they could all produce

I guess The song and therefore Gerry will be around forever linked to Liverpool football club - RIP seems he was a funny guy

It’s a great song but I can’t help but cringe when the Liverpool fans attempt to sing it. So out of tune. Yet most people seem to think they’re amazing.
Ferry across the Mersey is a great song too. I think he may have actually written that one (could be wrong though).
RIP Gerry.

It used to be sung regularly in the west end. One our staples until common sense prevailed.
