Any flickering glimmer of hope we had for a long term future at the Ricoh is gone.

Time to move on with building a new stadium now.

Completely agree. As shit as it's been I've always had hope that we would own the Ricoh one day. All gone now, tenants for a lifetime.

Mass celebration from the usual suspects. One on the eye for sisu is more important that the long term future of the club.

Need the devil in the detail. That's 3 people now, Lucas, a Tory councillor and a Lib Dem MP all saying this will be good for Coventry City.

Guess we need to see the full agreement and what has been put in place for Coventry City. They were talking about a long future here for Wasps AND Coventry City.

They have to try and put some positive spin on it.

Only way it could have a chance of working, would be a partnership. 50:50 stake in the Ricoh between wasps and us, which won't happen.

Political expediency. They don't care what happens now this deal is done

They can sugercoat it hiw they like , SISU. , coventry council and acl , have all had a hand in the demise of this football club . Never not once have the supporters been treated fairly or with any respect . At the end of this season im done , i have a season ticket , il use it and thats it , im not following anymore , to get continually shat on season after season by wankers in suits that dont have the slightest bit of knowledge about football ..fuck them

Just the bricks with our names on.

Guess we therefore own about 0.00000000001% of the stadium.

I'll be perfectly honest, I haven't read too much on this subject, just whats on here briefly, as I assume it would not come to fruition

How can it benefit us when the club and the fans haven't been consulted on it.

Well we benefitted when we went to Sixfields didn't we?

We need people to make decisions on our behalf. This is because we are dumb, stupid, ignorant and not very powerful.

Not defending what's happened by any means. But if someone gives you £100k but doesn't tell you about it it still benefits you. Just saying.

Whilst I agree, they wouldn't consult a bunch of sweaty, drunk football hooligans :sarcasm:

Last public hanging in Coventry was about 1889.

Lynchings were much later mind.

What if this hadn't happened, 12 months time where would we be with SISU, still in Div 3, still talking about a futuristic ground but no evidence, possibly another rent strike playing hardball with ACL, playing to crowds of 6,000, the future wasn't bright even if WASPS hadn't come in. I only hope this leads to a change in ownership.

The withholding of rent might be a good start.

Litigation to come somewhere further down the line.

The other contributing factor has to be the football league , how and why did they allow sisu to get the club back off the back of administration , seems a small thing now , but things could and should have been so different
