Is there anyone out there that can explain to me how these academy kids have been hurt?

Are they being lashed with a cat-o-nine tails until the bill is paid?

Or are they just 'missing out' on a training session?

How on earth would you genuinely believe that the £400 odd thousand paid by the FA for the academy has been spent on the academy?. This is a club that has even mortgaged off our training ground and has allegedly already used next seasons projected season ticket sales in its financial dealings. Once the academy money had come through from the FA SISU would have been like a fat kid in a sweet shop spending it on other areas to prop up.

The money has to be accounted for!!! Sisu can't just dip the hand into it and take it!!!

It would also be fair enough if The Higgs Trust had concluded that they did not wish to trade with the 'new company' under almost any circumstances, because they might have been given cause to question their commercial credibility as a trustworthy trading partner.

Does anyone else think it extremely odd that the Chief Executive of CCFC(Holdings) Ltd. has bee conspicuous by his absence over the past couple of weeks? I can't help wondering whether he is still responsible for the day to day running the business? Maybe someone else is fulfilling this role? It's all rather strange. :thinking about::thinking about:

Well that is either not quite on the money or PWKH should not be making statements that he wants the academy back. I would guess it is the earlier.

Of course they can -- this is SISU the devil incarnate. They can break every law in the book and no one ever gets to know about it.

It depends really, last week when it came out that they were no longer training at the Higgs, "Sisu were gambling with our kids and the clubs future".

If that's the case, why not say so, rather than bang on about not being paid which doesn't appear to be the case in this instance?

If it's up-front, as apparently it always has been then fail to see what the problem is.

Has an invoice been sent at all? I know I'd want a breakdown of £12,000 "damages to equipment" if somebody asked for it.

I thought the same thing - I didn't want to say it for fear of being branded a SISU rent boy again!

What did they do for £12k? Write off a tractor, damage 120 goal posts, rip 1200 playing vests?

Seems a lot of money to me.

Given the amount our air-con (and I stress the later of those words) wanted to service our our system, 12k is about 2 weeks labour or a week of labour and parts

This Just goes to show what can happen when the club gets involved with outside agencies for facilities that the club use. I hope longterm that the club take this all back in house and move away from these people because at any time as is being shown they are putting up barriers and causing further stress on a already bad time for the club. For a charity they are certainly showing a clear lack of

First it was ACL's fault the bill wasn't paid for the Ricoh arrangement and now it is the Alan Higgs centre's fault the training bill hasn't been paid. I suggest to Gregor Rioch he takes his squad to the Memorial Park with a few cones and balls and train them there, might do them good to slum it for a bit.

Only in SISU's world can it be the landlord's fault that they didn't pay the rent

Maybe if you could afford to buy the building you would resent paying rent!

especially if it was 8 times the going rate!

Why can't the centre just create a new agreement that puts a hold on any outstanding claim while there is doubt about who it is but term it so that it doesn't prejudice any future claim to that amount and create a new, temporary, agreement to run to the end of the season. In essence saying we'll put this mess to one side and leave that to be sorted out in the meantime pay us £x per week in advance and keep using the facilities, surely that's not too hard to do and similar to what has been done with the Ricoh.

Let's not pretend there isn't a connection between Higgs Centre and ACL, we all know how these things work when there's people working across both organisations. Appears to me that ACL want to force a particular company to pay this bill or at least admit liability, presumably to illustrate that both companies are the same entity and to assist in them being able to push through their preferred new owners.

Too much logic in that post...but hey they are not trying to wreck the academy or hold the kids to ransom.

I have to admit I did think if they can't get into the Higgs facility for the sake of three months.

You need football pitches, swimming pool, sports hall

Is there any of them anywhere in Coventry and Warwickshire

I know it is not ideal and there are more complications

But the kids futures are not really getting gambled with

I personally don't think it's that much of an issue, can use Ryton, and already using the facilities at Warwick University anyway.

Strangely though it was apparently a huge issue last week amongst many when it was purely an "evil Sisu" thing, not so much now though now the lines have blurred a little.

Still an issue for me LS .......... I want to know if the future of the academy is secure as that status is in my view vital to the future of the club no matter who the owners are.

If they are to carry on elsewhere then where and does it mean retention of the B status or do we expect a downgrading.

Not bothered about the kids missing a couple of training sessions ........ i want to know that there is a funded plan to keep the academy long term and where.

I imagine our status will be determined by the result of the EPPP audit we've just completed. And we may need more or less facilities based on the outcome of that audit.

There is no plan for the whole club at the moment & no chance of a horizon further than the end of the season as it goes.. everything depends on what happens at the high court in May.

i doubt final confirmation one way or other can be given until the league know the club is financially stable though stupot........ doing the right things to pass is only part of the audit, right now the clubs finances as a whole and ownership pf the share will also be a concern for anyone signing off the audit

I have a feeling there's some pretty strict rules about what facilities are required else they lose the academy status and funding so it's not just a case of turning up somewhere with a pitch, anywhere they use would have to be of the standard required by their academy status. Not sure if this needs to be checked by any official body but if it does then even if there was somewhere else that meets that standard it could be that until it's approved it can't be used.

any owner ...... SISU or who ever, whether there is an issue of administration or not has to plan ahead at the moment. They have to ask themselves do we spend £500k to get another £500k so then spend £1m in total or as a cash strapped club do we spend £250K providing less and forego the necessity to spend £500k in the first place. Perfectly legitimate question for SISU or anyone else to ask..... how they answer and go forward (assuming a court outcome that gives the club a future of some sort) is important.

Do the club mean we want a new contract for 3 months then a new one after that ............ or do they mean something else along the lines of after that we are gone..... it would be reasonable assume that going through the audit points to a long term commitment...... but that is not certain either from the results of the audit or from decisions the club make following what is going on with the clubs status and finances since the audit was completed. The club decisions as a result may have to change irrespective of the audit results

The Cynic in me says its of no consequence in the overall scheme of continued ownership via SISU. Yeilding fourth Div football in a ground 20-30 miles from our fair City, holding around 6000 fans ,matching their ambition for our Club, to be self sufficient, ney even profitable and rewarding the loyalty of the long suffering fans .Who needs an Academy?
