My favourite would be Liam Rosenior

Rosenior has a comfy job in Ligue 1 with Chelsea’s feeder club. Coming here would be a step down.

He was sacked after they where allow to buy players, spent a fortune, was shit, got sacked and then watch Tuchel win the Champions League with the same players he failed with.

Tuchel is a truly world class manager and was perfect to jump in with that job.

I know it's only punditry but I thought Lampard was excellent in his knowledge and explanations during the Euros.

This early? He's just a big name so they stick him on the list and give him short odds to try and tempt a few bets.

I'm surprised he dropped from 7/1 to 2/1.

Who's putting money on him at 7/1 for the odds to drop that quickly?

Carsley makes the most sense, top coach, ex player, lives local, soon to be out of work.

The only thing Frank Lampard is useful for is a couple loans off Chelsea a season. And we don’t sign loan players anymore.

Great, he's a good pundit but as proven a shite manager.

Get him in to replace oggy.

Anyway the club are saying it may take a while for a new guy to come in so they seem to not be close to appointing someone so as I said ignore the betting odds this early.

Ruben Selles would be my pick but this feels wrong.

Works with a young squad and plays attacking football

Yes, but can well imagine he won't want to move back to that having done the senior role

To be fair, he left with a good reputation and for a better offer. And is the only one I think that might entice fans into thinking ‘that’s not a bad shout’. As long as it paid off of course.

Although, currently assistant head coach in America (I think?). Which is a much better location than Coventry

Did King even know what football was before he arrived? No one actually knows

the decision to overhaul the club and allow Dr Dolittle have so much power suggests not

Club legends should not come back to be manager.
Look how it worked out for Gary McCallister

leave legend status at player level for me

Reckon Doyle was only at the ground last night for a job interview, since he wasn’t actually interviewed at HT as the former player?

Was very much ‘Michael Doyle is here. And now for kick it for a ticket’

Outside of his club status, he’s actually rated. Has managed Maccabi Tel Aviv and won a league and cup double.

would fit into the current structure, and more importantly his status would afford him time.

id also throw out Anthony Barry, but he’s just became England Assistant Manager so unlikely
