The traders have a lot to do with prices. As you say these "specials," markets are fragile and relatively small sums in general betting terms have a unusually large impact on prices

No I can't either. Though he did have discussions with Burnley in the summer so seemingly is open to a championship club.

But yeah I think it's just a volatile betting market overreacting to a few quid here and there.

im not 100% but didn’t he win the league with PSV, and if he can manage to go unbeaten with that Man Utd team then he must be half decent, if it’s out of those 2 RVN all day for me, you think ronaldos got one more season in him

Well I suppose the only difference would be winning a couple of honours at psv really ,RVN also prefers the 433 /4231 but defends in a 442 and we all know how hard 2 banks of 4 can be to break down.. I'm not totally against lampard either tbh .. I think I'm more concerned about Lee carsley than the other 2

Not so much an elite manager , but an elite level appointment in stature would definitely see some players swing our way that had the choice between us and another championship club

Also a wealth of experience as a coach

IS there a hype for Carsley?

I know I would certainly prefer a Coach who has won the European Under 21 Tournament over a journeyman manager who hasn't secured a job for a while and has failed in his last few positions.

Apologies , I just read an article about him

A tactical guide to Ruud van Nistelrooy, the football manager

The former United striker is now in charge of the club on a temporary basis - but how will he set the team up?

Yeah, was trying to make this point earlier. Not sure anyone has been really pumped for the Carsley/Lampard era but if one of them is appointed, meh, whatever let's get behind them.

Interesting article. Those criticising Lampard for not taking Derby up with his Chelsea kids should take a look at that PSV team.

NB. not intended as a criticism but it is pretty tasty.

The good thing about our squad is that our LW is either Haji or EMC so they can push to the front 2 on defence and Tatsu on the right who will track back and work really hard, Rudoni in the midfield can filter out to the left as a naturally more left sided player allowing that sort of system to work and if we have Eccles and Sheaf as the other CMs its gonna be very hard to break down. An outlet like Simms, Haji, Bassette, BTA or EMC in any pairing of one of the bigger 2 with any of the other 4 allows a flick on or dangerous counter attack outlet

Lampard is the kid from Up grown up. He does look like he’s animated actually. Very smooth.

The really easy solution is to give the job to Rhys Carr.

Then bring in someone at the director of football level to give him top cover.
