Did think we may try and poach someone, doesn't have to be unemployed.. tbh would rather get someone who's in post and doing well.

Unless we are looking for a head coach from abroad, then I'd like to see Challinor here. Otherwise maybe Ainsworth.

If we don't have someone lined up fairly sharpish it makes the sacking a bit weird after 2 wins in 3

That's why I'd be interested to see him.

He's got far stronger connections than someone like Robins within the game.

You think the defence is bad now, after how he had a much better Chelsea 4 back four playing you'll be in tears.

Also Chelsea had an interest in him as a manager then, they even gave him the job the next year. Not sure they would be as happy to loan him players now.

I hope you don’t mean Gareth Ainsworth?

Yeah, he was naff towards the end at Chelsea but was under a transfer embargo. Still got them to an FA Cup final.

Chelsea is a lot different to coming in at Coventry though.

Exciting appointment, they are flying at the moment, dominating games and playing a good brand of football

He was sacked after they where allow to buy players, spent a fortune, was shit, got sacked and then watch Tuchel win the Champions League with the same players he failed with.

I think they may go for a foreign coach, we've never done that, but the likes of Brentford, etc, it was part of their model, so it will probably be someone we've never heard of. Better that than a failed name from UK.

Some of the names being banded around like Gareth Ainsworth. No thanks.

Well, a good guy, but isn’t he always ‘one and a half seasons Tony’?

Nobody think Boateng was brought in as a possible replacement? He’s had limited experience as a manager, but has held several roles as coach and even assistant manager for Ghana.
wouldn’t be my choice, but i could see it being an option being considered.

Late to the party (or should we call it a wake!?) here - not read thread

But apparently this has been in the offing and Lampard has been at Ryton!?!.... From a very random source.
Stated that he may not end up being appointed but due diligence is being carried out....

True/not true....who knows...

I don't even know what kind of budget the club has got.for this, would garcia be out of the question? More likely be Eustace or something?

There has to be budget available - maybe to the detriment of the playing squad as you can only spend it once if course

The bookies wouldn't have him at 2/1 unless there's serious rumours.

If we're going lower league then Challinor has trophies coming out of his rear and a 53% win ratio

This early? He's just a big name so they stick him on the list and give him short odds to try and tempt a few bets.

Frank Lampard is allegedly a very good friend of DK's, so I am not surprised to see his name front running in the betting.
