It's going to be a shocker.

West Brom have apparently only sold 1800. I don't blame them, £33 is a mess. They'd have sold 4000 with ease at £25.

I think we could be looking at 17k with 2500 from West Brom.

They haven't even got the match packages sorted out yet ffs!

I haven't booed for many years but I don't blame fans for doing so when it's as bad as it was today.

I think a boo followed by singing/clapping is fair. Shows you are angry with the performance(s) but are supporting.

I don't usually start rumours or spread false news, but apparently Tom Grennan is involved somehow. Possibly a sex scandal, or maybe drugs, or possibly something to do with not feeding his horses and pissing a few of the lads off. But don't quote me, just passing on what a mate said.

The fans are behind them, they are paid well, they wear the Sky Blue shirt.

Sort out the moaners/issues - brilliant team spirit (fans and players) got us promoted twice. Don't want negativity (fans and players) to undo the previous good work.

Perhaps the fucking spoilt twats…..managers and players alike should have another taste of real life before football which is how it is for many without high paid jobs. They might have something to cry about then…..

I was told without the Hyam sale we would have gone into administration .
If we were that close, then I'm extremely worried about this season.

Realistically if we were on the brink of administration how many people would know? you could probably count them on one hand. I doubt they'd be going round telling random people who work in football.

Not to say everything is rosey of course. The plan was clearly to sell COH so when that was off followed by no home games and having to front the cost of a pitch, even if we should get it back eventually, that's going to be a strain on any business operating on a tight budget.

To go into admin don’t you have to have owed people money and not paid it, and they take to court essentially? Loads of people would know

I have to say it feels like people are looking for stuff that isn’t there just because they’re pissed off

The only thing I'd say to that is, if our financial position was that bad, vIk, Hamer or O'hare would have been sold at the first offer. Not saying we're flush, but the fact none were sold tells it's own story.

So, assuming there is credence in the club being in trouble, how come bids were turned down for some of the stars?

Short term there may be issues caused by the pitch, but haven’t SISU been running the club with tight budgetary control? Is debt not being serviced?

My thoughts exactly. The big 3 players could easily have netted 12-15 mill between them. A club in trouble would have sold as many as necessary.

Our owners are shit and ultra tight and we want rid, but don't make shite up. Makes situation and morale worse. Oggy said he felt team are playing for manager and just on a supervtough run and confidence is low. This happens in Championship. A couple of pop up accounts of uber negative people who are normally silent enjoying putting the boot in. Cynical coventrians personified. If you are Wasps fans/bewetters just be honest about it and say so. I remain confident MR will turn it around.

If that is the case the owners need to go. They aren't lucrative enough for us to proper in this league. If it is the reporter £1.5 million that is a drop in the ocean for this league.

On the brink of admin, players rowing, manager falling out with players…or just a bad start to season after the pitch shambles and heads have dropped/confidence is low

I know which one I believe

As others have suggested, if the club were really struggling that bad financially they have saleable assets that could’ve been shifted on…even at knockdown prices. Unless there are big external overdue debts that we don’t know about, why would the club go into admin ?! That’s not to say we won’t see a player or two sold in the next window, it’s more likely than not, but some of the stuff on here at the moment is nonsense

No, they'll borrow the money in the current stable interest market, and pay it back by (date to be confirmed/moved) and through obtaining another loan from Cov City Council.....

OK..................Wasps are in serious trouble.

So Wasps’ debt is roughly a quarter of the entire total for their league in tax and overall debt. I guess that makes them giants of Europe in one sense.

I'd imagine it's horrendous. Though the difference is championship clubs are one-step away from the promised land, (not that that makes it OK but it does mean theyll be ownerswilling to bank roll a promotion push), but what have these rugby clubs got to aim for?

There's no way it can sustain itself with those debt levels.

I posted this earlier but on the wrong chat….

The form has been dreadful since last December. Personally I think the sides not good enough to complete overall in this league. We certainly in my opinion have over hyped the ‘big three’ to being better than what they are. Other clubs don’t rate them as highly as we do or value them like CCFC do.

Robins has had a shelf life at all the clubs he has been with and I think city is the longest he has stayed with a club.

We need to shake this squad up with some new faces as I personally think some have hit the wall and ability wise can’t go any further and the frustration is starting to show.

Will robins be here by the end of September? I personally doubt it. I feel he might walk and done all he can.

On a footnote to the players that are creating a problem behind the scenes (and a couple are) be very careful what you wish for and show a bit of respect to the manager that has given you a career in the championship, and got you a salary that you could retire on and not work again.

99% of london wasps supporters don’t even know they have debt around them. I’d have a guess many don’t even know they ‘purchased’ the stadium through a bond scheme.

Note the bond holders are now saying they actually own the stadium due to the defaults.

We know we have finance issues but how does that compare to other similar clubs in the championship like a Huddersfield, Swansea, Wigan, Blackpool etc. they will all be paying similar wage bills perhaps higher their home gates similar even lower, covid affectived everyone do all these clubs have sugar daddy owners some might. We might be near bottom of a financial football list but what of those above us.
