"Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak somewhere in this town..."

My advice to the police would be check the local prison first. I love Thin Lizzy but that is a silly lyric, Phil.

Depends if he's talking about a town that has a plethora of prisons.

If it's a place that has a dozen prisons or so then I would think the likelihood is much greater and he has a vaild point.

Life - Desree

I don’t want to see a ghost
It's the sight I fear most
I'd rather have a piece of toast

Well I assume it's deliberate but... "I've been to the year 3,000. Nothing has changed but we live underwater. And your great great great granddaughter is very fine".

It's not just the 'nothing's changed' bit. How long do these people live for the sixth generation to still be alive - and to be very fine?

Any song by Marc Bolan with T-Rex. An example:

"You're built like a car,
You've got a hub-cap dynastart halo.
Get it on, bang a gong"

Marc Bolan at times just seemed to use any word that rhymed with any other word no matter how nonsensical it made the lyric.

Strained rhymes always make me laugh - Alicia Keys in 'New York' rhymes bridge with fridge.
Dancing Queen with tambourine but I suppose they can be forgiven as English is a second language.

This Lyric has always done my nut

Been around the world and I, I, I
I can't find my baby
I don't know when, I don't know why
(She don't know why)

Why he's gone away
And I don't know where he can be, my baby
But I'm gonna find him
We had a quarrel and I let myself go
I said so many things, things he didn't know
And I was oh oh so bad
(Oh she does know why FFS)

I hate Lisa Stansfield

I do like T Rex, but have to say some of the lyrics are lame in the extreme.

'Well she's my woman of gold and she's not very old, a ha ha.

Well she ain't no witch and I love the way she twitch, a ha ha

Well she's faster than most and she lives on the coast, a ha ha.'

Good song, awful, dumb, lazy lyrics.

From "Bang a Boomerang" by ABBA:

Like a bang, a boom-a-boomerang
Dum-be-dum-dum be-dum-be-dum-dum
Oh bang, a boom-a-boomerang
Love is a tune you hum-de-hum-hum

Oddly enough I like the song though.

Blowin' in the wind, goin' back to Jersey
Off to Brooklyn, left you back in Jersey
I was doin' a buck 90 like a throwback jersey

If someone tries to tell you nothing rhymes with orange, simply use 'orange' a load of times

I always heard the Bolan line as 'diamond star halo' - still nonsense though. Mind you, I always misheard the Simon and Garfunkel line 'Michigan seems like a dream to me now' as 'this chicken seems like a dream to me now'. Knew it couldn't be right but couldn't get past it every time I listened.

I want a nasty little jewish princess
With long phony nails and a hairdo that rinses
A horny little jewish princess
With a garlic aroma that could level tacoma
Lonely inside
Well, she can swallow my pride

I want a hairy little jewish princess
With a brand new nose, who knows where it goes
I want a steamy little jewish princess
With over-worked gums, who squeaks when she cums
I don't want no troll
I just want a yemenite hole

In the Jungle, the mighty jungle
The lion sleeps tonight
A Whim away
A Whim away
A Whim away
A Whim away

Apart from the shite lyrics, I thought Lions lived on the Savannah's and plains not in the jungle

RHCP are my favourite band, but my god some of the lyrics are bizarre..
Sweetheart is bleeding in the snow cone
So smart, she's leading me to ozone
Music, the great communicator
Use two sticks to make it in the nature
I'll get you into penetration
The gender of a generation
The birth of every other nation
Worth your weight the gold of meditation

Gillan once performed a song called "sleeping on the job" and included the word supersonic - struggling clearly for a rhyme the next line was "gin and tonic"
