Plans put to football league, or they've told football league they plan to build a new stadium?
Plans I assume would be a drawing of some description....neither fans or any council have seen plans for a new stadium, and also the size of site would determine the design/site of stadium.
If there are plans then I would have expected us beloved fans would be told, or at very least a statement from fisher to tell us.
Which makes me think our joy may have told Nikki Sinclair a few untruths....

Mockery?

Joy fed Nikki loads of shit. Nikki even thought the rent was 1.5m a season. Also didn't know that nothing short of 1,5m a season was on offer. It isn't me that is trying to have an argument without facts. It is you that is saying a liar might not lie this time. It is you that is saying that even though Dyke says he hasn't seen plans for the stadium you would prefer to believe Joy when she says she has shown plans. It is you using phrases like 'not concrete' and 'he could mean' to make your point. It is others as well as myself using facts as they are.

And then you have to say I am losing an argument so I am using mockery to cover up the lack of facts. Try coming out with proper facts and not what Joy has said. What Joy says has been proved not to be a fact so far.

Is that so?

If it as you say incorrect information, maybe you can tell me how you know that a new stadium will not be built?

See above and highlighted the main part.

'Joy confirmed plans had been put forward to the Football League for a new stadium'

Just because this plans aren't in the public domain doesn't mean there aren't any.

Just because Joy says there are doesnt mean there are, you should know that by now.

I share the sentiments, especially regarding our clubs future and the departure of the owners that we currently have, however they will not go silently and this club unless someone at SISU or Fisher himself decides that for business and because he has a heart decides to return the club to the Ricoh, things will get worse the longer this mess goes on.

There are no 'plans'

Just 'ideas' in some people's heads.

A plan would include start and finish dates, costs, drawings, contractors and project management teams.

There is not even a patch of land yet to be identified and purchased, let alone development agreed.

How can anyone state there is concrete evidence of these 'plans' ?

What absolute bollocks!

I can remember going to a shareholder's meeting at Highfield Road in the 1990's ,and we were all shown a mock up of Arena 2000,proudly displayed in a plastic case. You could go down to the planning department in Coventry city centre and actually see really detailed plans of every floor, at our proposed new super stadium.Where the toilets were, bar, restaurants etc etc a really detailed plan. There were even 2 'A2' magazines produced which I still have, describing terracotta tiles on the outside of the stadium, and all sorts of wonderful things. Guess what, it didn't get built. Fisher's etcha sketch drawing is hardly proof of a new stadium being built.

Missed it because you were to busy bickering about the council most likely, but here we go taken from the CT on the 30th Aug:

Ms Sinclaire said: “The upshot of the meeting was that Sisu and Joy are determined to bring CCFC back to the area as soon as possible. She believes, at this point, the only way of doing that is by building a new stadium.

“She said she understood fans’ concerns and did not want Coventry City to be playing in Northampton. Joy confirmed plans had been put forward to the Football League for a new stadium.

If a club is going to put forward plans for a new stadium to the FL this must include a site for where the stadium will be built. I'm pretty sure the Council who cover the area of said land would at least have some idea about this right?

This is also bullshit.

when Timothy was questioned at the fans forum about build costs he said SISU had about 10m to put towards the stadium. The rest would be raised by whoever they could get to build the stadium or raised elsewhere. He also admitted that SISU wouldn't own the place. There wasn't evidence of funds as even SISU don't know where the money is coming from.

This is for all you SISU apologists that say you are not biased towards the ones that have fucked our club up. Would you lend them about 20m so they could build a new stadium outside Coventry when you consider there is already a better stadium in Coventry? Would you build anything for SISU without getting paid in full before you start?

Positive and truthful answers only in 10 inch letters on the back of a postage stamp please.

Well I'd trust them more than any member of the board that failed to pay other clubs, creditors the revenue etc.

In fact the only thing they refused to pay was the rent decided by the above.

Fucking Rotherham and Brentford as role models. What the fuck has become of us in the last 6 years?

We used to be a mid sized Championship club you know.

What shitty lack of ambition to state we're looking at a 12k stadium but can do it in less time (therefore less quality).

Fuck me.

If you invest £20 million into a stadium, you will need 3.5% return to just protect the value of your money. Hedge funs need a profit add on 3% and then you have 6.5%.On £20m that is £1.3m of interest min, they could not even pay £1.2m to acl.How much of a stadium would you get for £20m.

How can you put forward plans to the football league for a new stadium when no council in the areas around coventry have had no contact from SISU or CCFC. YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME, but you will not fool sky blue fans at all Mr fisher.

So to take Astute's hypothesis you would trust lets say a joe Elliot run consortium if you were a bank manager?

Glad to see you are sticking to your own rules of having an intelligent debate by the way.

I think that's what they call 2-0, now you can't even answer a simple question.

If you can't handle alternative views why are you on here? You seem without purpose.

When did SISU start planning this stadium?
They have 10m to put towards it? Less than a quarter of the costs I would guess
What land is available in or around Coventry?
Would they get planning permission or outside funding?
Fisher wavering between 3 or 5 year build completion? Seems wildly optimistic.
There seems no rapid progress on the project to back Fishers optimism?
Not even a sketch of some prefab stadium has been produced.
They have to fund the short fall in meantime?
Northampton gates way below Fishers estimate?
FL dont seem convinced and seem to hope Coventry just stay alive based on their statements.
Calculations seem to suggest its cheaper to stay in Coventry than play in Northampton in the interim period.
The last three years Internet information on SiSU suggests their income is falling.

I think the above is fair assessment and not guesswork on the information available.

My business head leads me to the conclusion SISU are either treading water or buying time.

If someone has a counter argument to give me hope, please enlighten me.

We are in danger of having no stadium. If ACL manage to move on we are in trouble.
The Ricoh is our only chance. Sisu plan will be the death of the club as we will have so much debt we will not be able to afford it.
