Am delighted this finally looks like its going ahead. The Ricoh is now a ready made premier league ground with the infrastructure to match. If only SISU could be brought out (or buy up) we could then bring all these exciting elements together to make this city proud again.

When the station is finished at the RICOH, it will make ACL worth more. Joy should just get the cash out and pay the council what they want for ACL or she may miss the TRAIN.

This station will surely bring Byng closer to the club.

He will be the sad b'stard in the anorak and train drivers cap writing down train numbers, shouting whoo whoo as the train comes past.

Times running out for Byng. If the Chinese want the club they better pay up now . They won't be in the running at this rate. I didn't even know they went to tender for the station build.

The Stadium needs the train station. When we are back it will be useful and reduce congestion on the roads.

Don't worry, that's already been cleared up. People getting off the train will not, I repeat not, be using visiting Tesco.

Particularly as they will be building on the car parks. Brilliant idea that.

Great news.

Boost for city centre pubs when we get back to the stadium.

So does that not make the surrounding ground more desirable having a train station near by it does every where else so why should this be different?

You can build more facilities that become more accessible why is that a bad thing?

For all your piss-taking you know it was never about using it for shopping unless you want to get to London via Leamington.

As a bitter old cynic, can I just make the point that the people building the station won't have any say in the type or frequency of the trains that run on it.

I'm happy to stick a fiver on the fact that we'll get a shiny new station halt, serviced by one train an hour* that's appoximately the size of a mini-bus.

I hope I'm wrong, because a regular, proper train service to the Ricoh would be great for fans *and* shoppers.

*last train on Saturday, 16:30, you see.

Trains already use that line used to go past my parents home in Radford. Didn't seem that frequent. were usually only one or two carriages long.
