Shoot me down by all means, but led to believe from a reliable source(yes i know everybody says the same!) that ACL/SISU have done a deal on the Ricoh, no idea what it is but announcement next week apparently. Lets see if my contact is as well connected as he thinks!

Hopefully your contact is 'on the money', but it wouldn't surprise me, I should've been 'done and dusted' beforehand.

If it's a better deal than ACL's last, these renegade tactics would've been worth it and I would've been proved right in saying, we were right to reject the last offer.

You will only be right if CCFC see the benefit of any further reduction.

Personally I would just prefer a deal to be done.
I would prefer us not be referred to in national media as a club that maybe closed down or a club who don't know where we will be playing.

Then the bookies may not make our manager favourite to take over at smaller clubs

Our situation has nothing to do we robins being linked with other clubs.

Last season we had old ken on the bench and we a real laughing stock. Strangely the manager wasn't a favourite with any vacant jobs then.

It's the likes of this that makes us look like a club of whom you can steal any player or manager from

They didn't get our manager this season... He out-and-out rejected them!

Anyway, Thorn hadn't exactly made himself a 'wanted' man, despite numerous chances, we couldn't get out of the relegation zone.

Re read what I said.

Doncaster fans would not think it was a realistic
Idea to poach the manager if Coventry, without this rent debacle
They think we are skint

If no satisfactory resolution can be found, the club could be put into administration, leading to a points deduction and the possibility that a new venue should be found for the club to fulfil their remaining fixtures.
'We want to avoid administration, absolutely, we do,' added Fisher.
'And we have a commitment to fulfil our fixtures - which we fully intend to honour.
'But if the gates at the Ricoh are locked, there may be no alternative but to find another venue.
'If turns out that we don't end up playing at the Ricoh Arena, so be it.'

No don they wouldn't have wanted him. Circumstances are totally irrelevant. Success creates interest.

Let them think what we want, teams are always going to have opinions on other teams... Look at those Bradford fans saying we wouldn't take many to their place!?

It's been well known we've been skint for a very long time.

My point is not about the manager.

Doncaster fans would not normally expect a coventry manager to consider leaving Coventry to come to them.

At the moment he was their number one choice (fans)

So they believe it to be a realistic proposition.

This is because what they see about us in thd national press gives the impression if a club that us about to implode and can't pay it's debts.

They are not exact quotes...

It's all rubbish, we won't go into admin etc. just papers trying to get a decent story to fill their pages in their paper, that's all.

Why wouldn't it be realistic. They are higher in the league and better placed for promotion.

Any successful manager gets linked to other clubs, we were linked to many managers at any given time, including Uwe Rosler, wasn't the favourite like...

I agree we won't. However as this farce drags on.
That is what the national media talk about. They did it in the build up to the Spurs game and the JPT.

They don't fully understand it all and give out the impression we are skint and about to go bust.

Hence Robins doing well at such a self imploding skint club will attract attention.

Sort the rent we go back to sleeping giant status at this level.

People will only talk about us for our football.

Not in the slightest. He has made a good start so will be linked. There is no career advancement so no point. If Blackpool were a better run club that would be a possibility.

Not sure why you're still banging on about this. Doncaster said they did not contact Robins and had no intention to. It was down to a punter with too much money, nothing more.

In other words you knew it was not realistic like with Bristol.

Yet both their fans and the bookies think it is very realistic, why?

Because they incorrectly think we are a skint club on the verge of collapse.

He was top of their fans poll. Their fans believed they could realistically steal Coventry City's manager.

So did all the bookies so no it was not one punter.

I didn't as I know the truth.

However in the national media we are a skint club on the verge of eviction.

When this rent is sorted clubs smaller than us will not think they have a chance of getting our man.

Jesus!

IT WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!

Not sure i can be anymore clearer than that

My point is they think it is
Doncaster fans should not think it a realistic proposition to steal a manager from a club like Coventry who are on a roll.

Yet the majority of them did, why?

Because they think we are skint and on the verge if either getting closed down or kicked out of our ground.

WE KNOW THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

However when the national media talk about us that is what they focus on.

So get the rent sorted quick it will be better for us as a club.

So the few Doncaster fans who could be arsed to vote in a poll said they wanted him? How many was that? And why does that make it possible for Doncaster to "realistically steal Coventry City's manager"?

And Paul Ince was favourite to be our manager if you remember.

It's bollocks. And you know it. Nothing to do with the rent. Robins himself says he's happy and it will get sorted, so I can't see any reason for your obsession that Robins was off, when plainly there wasn't even a 1% chance he would go.
