This whole thread shows (especially your opening gambit) is ample demonstration of the point in hand.

Can't say about CCFC, but CRFC will likely be stronger with Wasps around. It probably won't be enough for them to be threatening the premiership, but solid championship will definitely be the aim.

You disagree with what I said then? You don't think Wasps come from London?

Or did you just deride my comment because of who was making it, rather than what was said?

Yes, they do come from London. I am not sure why I would disagree with that.

(Awaits comments saying it is ok for them to move as they had already moved once)

Will this post get ignored??

why would it get ignored ?, its on the main forum. It would only be ignored if it was on the correct forum, as its about a rugby team having an open day

i'm not convinced those people are being serious about being happy about Wasps owning the ground

Think that was meant to be their opening fixture here Initially ,wonder what happened there .

I guess there Is a silver lining to that as there Is now a window to relay the pitch.

Agreed, but when WASPS do something it only highlights the shortcomings of SISU and that gets me.

WASPS actively engaging and SISU saying nothing and more importantly seemingly doing nothing. Their only chance is to get the people back through the gates to support the team. As it stands there is no initiative to make this happen.

CCFC like WASPS will thrive or fail depending on their own actions, at this point they are addressing different markets but if they are successful yes there will be a bandwagon and people will go and that will be a threat if CCFC are still limping along.

SISU have been taking the supporters for granted, expecting 7,000 to go to Northampton telling us we will come back after three games!!

Most people don't go to CCFC because it is currently a really shit experience, they have to figure out how to get bums on seats. But why not a Sky Blue bandwagon , if they start winning then they will attract good crowds thats where they need to start not with a new stadium .

It depends what for though doesn't it? The same as people aren't shouting WASPS WASPS WASPS for us selling Robbie Keane, the same as people aren't shouting COUNCIL COUNCIL COUNCIL when our captain misses a penalty or our goalie acts like a dick and gets sent off.

Just so I dont get it wrong can you do me a list of what SISU are and are not responsable for with the club they own and apparently run as I was under the impression that the buck stopped with them.

Just to confirm, I don't support Wasps owning the Ricoh and would have preferred CCFC, be it Sisu, to own it.

Having said that, it's all signed and sealed so we need to move on.
If people think the best plan is for Wasps to fail in a few years time and the Sisu can continue where they left off then I can see a lot of people, including myself, dropping their support of the club.

If Sisu don't at least make an attempt to get a decent long term deal at the Ricoh then I assume the above is also their plan.

I do not support Wasps or Rugby but I feel as they are making a great attempt to sell the club/sport to me.

Are you saying that now we are cash positive (TF) that vastly bigger crowds would not finance us into the Championship?
Please show me your figures.

well with an average of 15.5k in our last season on the championship we had one of the lowest turnovers in the league, despite having better attendances than 9-10 other teams. So no, reliance on ticket sales and little/no access to matchday and additional revenues won't finance us in the championship, especially given their FFP rules are different.

If you rent a house but somebody flies a helicopter into it, it doesn't make it your fault. Although if SISU did, they would probably have moved that house in front of the helicopter.

Of course, nobody is blaming Wasps for things going on at the club are they? Has anybody even tried to blame Wasps for the goings on on the pitch?

Don't know Eastwood never listened to him ,, but i tell you the difference between Eastwaood spin and Fisher spin,, Eastwood backs it up with actions, money and deals, where as TF claims to want all but has no money no idea and no fucking common decencies to keep to his word... But then again its hard to complete what you say when you have no backing to actions the words that fall from his mouth....

You've missed how it works on here.

If you applaud a party other than CCFC/Sisu for doing something well that means you must support them.

If the said party happens to be something that can potentially be at the detriment of CCFC/Sisu, then that means you hate CCFC.

I think you need more time in the Creche to learn the logic of SBT before posting on here again.

Also to be clear, 'full access to matchday revenues' in our context means around 80% of the total, which is ACL's share in IEC. Compass get the other 20%.

Yeah, it is like when people went to Sixfields to watch their team play it meant they supported every single thing SISU have done and will ever do and are best pals with Joy. However, you go to watch a Rugby team that has been moved that you don't even support and it is just watching a Game of Rugger.

The best thing is, so many of the quotes for the Wasps stuff is just rehashed from Sixfields or what people have said but just turned around.

So when Eastwood said the club would stay in or around London it was true?

When he said moving to Coventry makes it nearer for most wasps fans to get to games its true?

Why are you on here? As you live so far away you don't get to see many CCFC matches do you? Your not a CCFC fan so I don't understand why you post on here.

That isn't my opinion of course, but I just thought you should know how it feels when someone questions your support for a club you have followed since you were 7 years old.

Some of Eastwood's quotes so far:

'This is not a franchise move'

'There is no PR machine'

(when asked about changing the seats) 'I don't know what colour the seats were at Wycombe'

(when asked about booting CCFC out of the dressing room) 'Discussions are ongoing'

Can you explain how any of these are not spin?

Weeman the point of this post is to show the way a business should be run. sisu did everything wrong Wasps are doing everything right.
They are trying to build their fan base and are going the right way about it. I didn't want them here I wanted CCFC playing at and owning
the Ricoh. sisu made sure that couldn't happen. We are now at the mercy of Wasps and there generosity.

Or there was no PR Machine and it wasn't a franchise.

(This isn't me excusing anybody from the whole imaginary stadium bollocks either, just pointing out that ALL sides have spoken a lot of bollocks)
