Obviously they were serious about trying to get the Ricoh, why would they go to so much trouble of trying to distress ACL in that they were prepared to have massive losses through a year of 2k crowds in Northampton. Probably would have worked as well if they didn't keep pushing their luck, essentially wanted it for free with no strings attached, they didn't bank on another club coming in and picking it up as it is for a nominal fee.

No it doesn't. The thing is that the Tata group of companies have a clear purpose, what do Moonshine / Arvo do?

The very first consultations produced a valuation of £24M from the lips of Daniel Gidney .

It wouldn't have given them Freehold but most likely a long lease, all Income streams ,would that have helped the Club ? Yes.

Would It have given SISU anything to sell ? No ,well not In the sense of Hardware.

That wasn't for ACL was it, didn't he say we could buy back matchday revenues for that or some equally ridiculous figure?

You tell me I don't really care to be honest.

Never really cared that sisu were a hedge fund, only cared about how they treated our club.

One off payment of 24 million for full match day revenue streams, bit of a piss take really as Wasps have all of ACL and full revenue streams every day of the year for less.

No idea, that was from memory. Sure someone who keeps a record of everything everyone ever says will be along shortly with a link!

Edit: found it in the trust q&a

20: Has the club ever tried to repurchase the additional income sources from ACL?
ACL: No – its policy to date is to demand these for nothing.
CCFC: Last year Daniel Gidney, the then CEO of ACL offered CCFC the full match day revenue streams for a one off payment of £24 million, this was dismissed out of hand

And this point is ignored by so many.

If we would have prospered under SISU lots would have thought hedge funds are great.

Don't all companies have names then?
So Tata group own JLR Tetley Tea, Tata steel, Taj hotels etc does that make them a Hedgefund?

Not having a name, having very generic ones like 'Fiduciary Holdings' sems more specific to businesses with more obscure activities. All the ones you give tell you something about the product/commodity they deal in. 'Moonshine' says nothing.

I recall the club later clarifying that the handshakes were 'meant only as pleasantries' and not recognition of accepting a deal. Perhaps the funniest excuse of them all.

I agree here.

I work with hedge funds on a reasonably frequent basis. I have nothing against the principle. There are many circumstances where the intervention of a Hedge fund has benefited the business and all its employees.

The problem is one very particular Hedge fund.

Yeah that's correct, just for matchday revenues.

I have worked for at least 3 holding companies 2 American and 1 French but none of them was a hedge fund, just had a shed load of manufacturing companies under their belt.

I can point you in the direction of some cracking books showing why hedge funds should be mistrusted at all times...
