Incredible Ricoh Arena replica made with 45,000 toothpicks

Amazing effort and the guy clearly talented, but I hate that he's done it with rugby posts and "we are wasps" around the perimeter boards. A real smack in the face for the City. I Would have thought he's limited his market of potential bidders too, but either assumes rugby folk have more cash or he simply hates us!

Seen this and thought it looked good then, like you, I seen the rugby posts and NOTHING with ccfc on and thought I hope he drops it en route to the auction!

*Edit, I've just seen the auction is for charity so I hope it isn't dropped before it's sold, but can be dropped once the charity have the money in their account

It's a PR thing for Wasps / The council isn't it? Hence it is Wasps based and they have given him free tickets and they have commented on it.

Was in the news last week I think?

Is it free tickets for life or did they like it so only gave him them for one game?

The council commissioned it for the Mayoral function I thought, Wasps have added that after and given the free ticket. As we already have a rugby side in the City, I doubt the council would recognise Wasps ahead of their own football or rugby sides ....

Didn't even paint the seats Sky Blue, which considering the green pitch and the detail on the half clear roof etc is an obvious exclusion. The only thing I like about it, is that it's for Zoe's place which is a great cause.

Agree with that, hopefully it will make some decent money for them!

Always wondered about buying smaller scale models of the Ricoh when these have been sold by the club in the past. But then you wonder, what would you do with one? Once you've looked at it a bit, you just have to leave it hang around and it would be quite a bulky thing to sit around the house....for the money it would cost, it would end up in the garage/attic in a box pretty quickly.

Hope a fat ex rugby player stumbles into it and demolishes it

London wasps should have asked him to build a training facility but life size but I guess they can’t afford the picks and would be asking people to send them in

Scale looks a bit off to me, the size of the roof only allows a sliver of light in which would cause havoc for the woodchip turf. 6/10, I'm knocking up a Sixfields out of Magnum lolly sticks that will blow MINDS.

900 hours is effectively 22 and a half weeks of 9-5...

5 and a bit Months of a full time job...

It's over £7k if on minimum wage...

He got paid with 2 Wasps Season Tickets. He must have some passion for building things like that.

It just proves how boring it must be to be a wasps fan. They have already valued it at 65 million
